Do you think their is a difference in relationship between those who have asian mothers and those who have white mothers? (and also vice-versa with the father)
From most of the EA's i know, those with a white mother have a mostly good relationship with them, whereas those with an asian mother have a more 'strained' relationship..
I know everyone is bound to have a different sort of relationship with their mothers but still, i can't help seeing a noticeable difference..

personally,i'm the opposite.my mom is white and i get so frustrated with her i can't handle it.my dad can be irritating, and sometimes hurtful, but nothing near as bad as my mom.which is not to say we don't have our good moments (she is my mom,i love her),but she can get to me faster than anyone else.but by and large you may be right,Helen.

So your mom is half Eurasian and half White? What mix is your Eurasian grandparent (grandma or grandpa) and how'd the White grandparent end up in Singapore? What ethnicity is your dad?

Yet another with WM/AF parents here. Where I live, no one really seems to care about it. I see more AM/AF couples then anything else. I actually rarely see any WM/AF or AF/WM couples around.

Actually,I am the exception...I have an Asian mom,and have really good relationships with her(maybe, because I was living with mom,not with European dad?)...But in my childhood, I really disapproved her reproaches..and she seemd so cold to me...

my mom is ea and my dad is asian. me and my mom are so very close. between me and my dad it used to be so-so. we used to fight and argue a lot, cos he said i wasn't quiet and "nice girl" enough ... duh ?!?! .... he finally sees me for me and not for what he wanted me to be. he used to dislike it when i hugged him. now he doesn't even mind when i hug him in public ... i just love to hug !!! ;D i love both my parents to pieces !!! << th th th that's all folks !! >>

I have an Asian mother and a father of European descent who comes from a family that has lived in Australia for over 100 years.
