I've got a real European Dad. He's Dutch. We've all got Dutch passports (My mom (Singaporean Chinese) converted later on.) We've never lived in the USA, we've lived in a few places in Europe and in Singapore. My Dad had Dutch education, Mum had Singaporean (English)...I've had an Internationa/American AND British Education. Personally, I prefer British education.
EAs in Europe? Well one day I'm thinking "Wow, France is really EA conscious" because people appreciate my Eurasian side (and recognise it)... Some hairdressers and makeup artists have referred to me as "Eurasienne" not just "La Chinoise".
A lot of people (the majority) however just assume I'm Chinese. A lot of people think I'm Japanese (depending on hair/makeup) - and I've even been called Thai!!! Lol... I do not look Thai. So in some ways I resent having an Asian first name, because it doesn't really represent me well enough, and people immediatley assume I'm JUST asian.
In Europe, Asians are definitely a minority but in the 6 years I've been in France I have noticed a serious increase in Asians walking around (mainly from southern Asia, not many very "pale" Asians -- if you know what I mean). I can get a lot of harrasment from people because I'm Asian. It attracts a lot of negative attention, maybe also because I'm tall and in France a lot of people are like...
"Huh?!?! She's Asian, but she's tall -- and her hair (stutter) itt- it- it's not BLACK and STRAIGHT!?!? She's a mutant, because that it sooo impossible"
But overall, decent civilised people (i.e. not ugly, horny teen boys) are interested in a positive way. But it definitely won't create any prejudices or any favoritism.

This is my case. I have one euro (french) parent. And I was born in France, and I've always lived in France, paris suburb. Ahaha. Yeah, no fancy moving oversea.
(okay I've lived 3 years in the US, a long time ago, and almost one year in quebec, but since I'm 40+, it is not that much) ;D

Also, I only have Japanese citizenship. But I will soon become an American citizen, unless they decide to send me off to Guantanamo concentration camp. You should be fine unless you're currently fighting the United States as an enemy combatant without a Geneva Conventions Identification Card (Identification that identifies you as being a combatant of a soverign state) Concentration camp. I would bet $100 that those being detained have gained weight and recieve better health care than I do ;D
