Well this fact is for Toyomansi - it's the Mestizo/Mixed force that fought the newly arrived full Spaniards to gain the much desired Philippine independence that was then thwarted by the entry of the US into the scene.

Animo, you're painting a huge bullseye on yourself. In case you didn't realize it already, there are quite a few racist, half-pinoy members of this forum, including a couple of key old-timers, who are pretty hostile towards spanish mestizos from the Philippines. Good luck hanging around here, pare! Thanks! I seem to get that idea when this guy or gal in the other thread tried to make an argument over my "existence". Please, I can debate them all if they want and it would show their ignorance and prejudice. If I wasn't just a very respectful person that is! ;D Buff, it's a clear double-standard. toyomansi made it clear that she holds all Filipinos of Spanish descent responsible for what happened during the colonial friarocracy. In her warped, fictitious world, the coups and rebellions that were supported by Spanish mestizos against the colonial regime - that is, ALL of the later rebellions -- as well as Rizal's circle of Hispanic Filipino sponsors and close allies, never existed. Isn't that idiotic? My only advice to her is to pick up a book or two on Philippine history and read it. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, people like her are downright embarrassing. Well this fact is for Toyomansi - it's the Mestizo/Mixed force that fought the newly arrived full Spaniards to gain the much desired Philippine independence that was then thwarted by the entry of the US into the scene. I am actually very Bisaya and proud of it! I am not sure if she is from Bacolod or somthing. But yeah, I seem to get that Spanish seems to be the "elite" language compared to other European ones and it's very funny actually with all the responses just because I wrote a couple of words. P.S. Actually, my known ancestors (part of the old provincial elite of Cebú - one of them became governor of the province) were loyal to the Spanish crown until the Americans came. Later on they became anti-Americans or refused the new colonial administration. Hahaha...

I can't believe I got so much hate from just a little post...
Ok, I'm sorry about what I said, and just to set the record straight, I don't have anything against Spanish mestizos and I what I said about the history was probably misunderstood. I admit that I'm not an expert on the history, but I do know that many mestizos also fought for the independence of the country. When I was talking about Spanish-languaged posts, I was mostly referring to Manileñas Spanish articles, and I would also question any other long posts in French or German on this forum.
I must have gotten the wrong impression of mestizos, that they speak more Spanish, eat mostly Spanish food, mingle with Spanish people etc. Which is probably not true, and I stand corrected. But believe me when I say that I don't hate anyone and my posts are never intended to offend people. I think most people in this forum would agree that I'm a friendly person.
And in the future, I would apreciate if those of you who get offended by what I say PM me instead of filling a thread with attacks.

^ i can tan a LOT! back in Morocco or Tunisia when my dad worked there we took pictures and i was the most tanned i ever was in my life. when someone saw the pic they asked if the kid on the pic was blasian (not literally but the conversation went like: "is she half too? *blank look...didn t they recognise me? ponders...* i mean, is she black and asian?") i would say my skin was this shade: mrsgrapevine.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/ciara_ashlee.pngi guess this is where the South East Asian blood comes in

In a time of modern plastic surgery every person can own a pornstar body . Especially the preppy rich asians or the EA with a rich white daddy. I know many Thai girls who get their boobs and ass done, asian guys who get their penis done, and the first thing: nose-job . I got my nose bridge done with 17, but that was it. Plastic Surgery is very expensive ;D. "Did you got your nose bridge Implant from your ear cartillage, from your rips or with silicone?" "Oh, I got it from my ear, no scars, you know" ;D My body is has both features. Back is big and muscular, my ass is big and my legs and arms are muscular, but my wrists and my hands are very fine. If I wouldn't shave I think I have as much hair as white guys on my chest, but I don't have a strong beard growth. I'm just 5'9, but many brazilians are just that height.

you mean you had plastic surgery at the age of 17? that s what i understood...but i m not getting any sarcastic vibe from you. are you kidding?
not sure if you re joking or not. i think you are but i m not sure...on the subject of plastic surgery though, i ve been meaning to say this because i know SO many girls who have had it now: if someone looks average-above average, i don t get why they d get it. of course beauty is subjective but one would know it they re so repulsive plastic surgery would help them becoming more socially accepted.
my sister has a fairly long and straight nose. she hates it but i think that it makes her look so unique. a friend of mine who saw her picture commented on how if it weren t for her nose, she would be the spitting image of maggie q. but the more i look at imperfections the more i appreciate them. i wouldn t change ANYTHING about my sister and i love her not so perfectly-hollywood nose. i can t say i find myself attractive/that pretty, there are TONS of things i would like to change about my appearance, whenever i look at other EA girls i always feel like crap (...then again, it s EAN) but i don t get why people actually go out to get plastic surgery.
have human beings been reduced to denying the beauty in imperfections and only celebrating the largely accepted aesthetics?

i prefer all my imperfections. it makes me feel like i need to work harder on other things to make up for it. plus any time someone gives me a compliment i know that its not a compliment to my doctor.

have human beings been reduced to denying the beauty in imperfections and only celebrating the largely accepted aesthetics? That's the sad thing. When I was 16 my parents forced me to loose 60 lbs: 2006 and 2009: And then I got my nose did, but it's not that extreme as you can see. It's important for me to talk about this topic because I don'T want other people to go through this. Of course I look million times better with a slim muscular body and a whiter nose, but I personally don't care for the looks of a human. The inner personality and the love is important not the looks

^ How did they force you to lose weight? Was the nose job their idea, too?

Only cooking special food for me, forcing me to do go everday to gym. I'm an extremly high ambitioned person and my parents know how to use it . Let's be honest, it wasn't bad to loose weight because it's good for health and everything Yes, the nose was their idea because I had to do a medical surgery because I had allergical problems. So it was clear to combine a medical surgery with an aesthic one. But my nose is still big and exotic but a bit prettier than before

oh... wow. mck: sorry i hadn t seen your reply here, i think i replied in the other thread after i understood you actually did have plastic surgery.
i guess it does look like there was an "improvement" but i m not sure you were photographed in your most flattering hairdo or from your best angle either... glad you think this way though. can t say i m oblivious about looks but personality DOES matter more to me.
and wow...for being so open about having had a nose job. i guess that means you weren t "ashamed" about your old self. that s good. but if you weren t...sorry for saying but i do think it s sad that you did have surgery...not that you can do anything about it now so you can totally ignore me on that but it d be good if you refrained from surgery in the future. <--which you said you would. woot!
