Hi im white and my husband is Chinese, we have a beautiful baby boy Edison (not named after the actor) and he is 2 months old....about a month ago his right eye turned in to a double eyelid but his left is still single....there is a very smal crease but it seemes to not want to become a double eyelid.... Has anyone ever had this problem? Did your/your child's eye ever form to a douple eyelid after the other one has? How long did it take? Im just worried because it looks funny, from far away it looks like he has one small eye one big (but there the same size the double eyelid makes his right eye look bigger) here is a pic~

^Don't worry too much about it. There's a big chance that his other eye will change too. I used to have much smaller eyes when I was younger, but in my late teens they got bigger. First one, then about six months later the other one followed suit. But even if they stay as they are, that's not necessarily such a bad thing, is it? A lot of beautiful people have slight asymmetry. Anyway, your baby's adorable, and your husband's hot.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. My eyelids are different every day. Some days, they're double, other days, mono. And sometimes half and half!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. My eyelids are different every day. Some days, they're double, other days, mono. And sometimes half and half! I'm not the only one! 90% of the time they are both double. But every now and again...

Its because he's half. Rather than it being an even blending, it seems he left will be cauc and right asian. Weird.

My eyes have a double eye lid with the upper one overhanging making it look like a single eye lid, giving me the Chinese look. If I was to simply get an eye lift, I would have a double eye lid without having to create a false one.
That said, it sounds like it is a similar case with your son. I would like to point out my eyes are not perfectly symmetrical, with my right eye lid drooping slightly more, making me look very subtly cock eyed.
However, I don't and have never minded because I'm happy with the way I look.
Hope this help!

thanks again and thanks for the pictue...I just dont want people to say 'is one eye smaller then the other?' (which a couple white people have said to me) and it makes me feel bad, my son is perfect but I dont want this to be bad in his future, like kids making fun of him in school about one eye being different (which they are not if he opens wide then they look 100% the same, just when he is looking normal there is a difference)....i dont want this to affect him....hes such a beautiful baby!
