Wow. I've heard that the kids in Pakistan's Montessori system make rugs.... and the kids in Taiwan fuse circuit boards. A really interesting study of cultural interpretation within the Montessori system. Woah, making rugs and fusing circuit boards? That's hardcore. Now I'm so curious to know what they do in Montessori schools around the world... I'll believe that circuit board stuff when I see it! Yup! I was messin with ya Alex ;D I figure if third-world loan sharks can call themselves "micro-financiers", why can't child labour sweatshops call themselves "montessori"

Anybody attend a Waldorf school? There are a few around where I live/work. I'm not sure what they are all about. Briefly scanned wikipedia, but only took away that they use natural wood furniture in their classrooms.

Don't mind him. He just saw some black Canadian helicopters flying over his militia barracks yesterday. Altan, did you manage to shoot any down with your high powered rifles?

I went to a Montessori school for a few years. Apart from Science, Math, English, Foreign Languages, and Physical Education, we had Agriculture and Home Economics. We had Religion class and Computer Technology class. We had Music as well. We were taught how to properly plant in pots (pot chips and all). We learned different propagation techniques, such as marcotting, and we had to know the different genera of plants at our school. We learned parts of the human hair and how to properly iron and groom ourselves. Ha ha ha. We also had "kitchen crews" where a group of about five people would help out in the school's kitchen cooking and washing dishes until two periods of lunch ended.
Yup. Those were the days. But I'm very grateful I went to such a strict and demanding school. I learned a lot.
