I have def had my fair share of stalker/creeper boyfriends #1 Is my 4 year long relationship with a douche who wouldn't want to be in an official relationship, but did plan on getting married to me. He also was really whiny and self-centered. He is german and would try to upset me by dating other EA girls when we were on breaks. Yikes, and there were only 4 of us in the whole school, so...he was pretty much an EA phile. #2 I dated a guy who would always eat off my plate. I hate that! Especially on a student budget! No matter how much he ate, he would always finish my food. Not to mention that he would ask my roommate for the key to my apartment so he could watch me sleep...actually the food part bothered me more.

^Regarding #2, did you finish your food?
I ask because if I had a gf and she didn't finish her food, I would finish whatever she didn't eat, because in my opinion, wasting food is childish.

in my opinion, wasting food is childish. I agree completely. On a separate, but related note, minor pet peeve: Those "no carb" people

wasting food is childish. heh. so when you eat chicken, do you clean the bones white? i don't even know how to do that.. but i've seen it good point.... girls that only eat white meat or only boneless w/ their caesar salads and fettucine alfredo SUCK ...... conversely ..... girls (esp white girls or non recent arrivals from the Mekong) that eat the heads and pick bones.... HAWT

I have one major pet peeve, which is when a guy treats you like shinola in front of his friends because they have made him feel 'whipped' by simply having a girlfriend.. as apparently this makes you soft. He then takes it so much to heart that he feels like he needs to earn gangsta points by treating me like his b1tch and acting like an utter loudmouth fool to disprove them. Oooh and then when you ignore him for the next couple of days and he comes crawling back with his tail between his legs and begs for forgiveness like a damn lovesick puppy who peed on the carpet. Gaaah! Where is the manliness in that? It drives me absolutly insane when a guy has to fake being a man because its about the least manly thing you can do in my books.

Of course I eat all my food! I was raised by a filipino mother. I never had a choice. He would eat off my plate before I could even get to it!!!

I hate when girls insist on sleeping over. I have a very irregular sleeping schedule, so I often wind up just laying there, staring at the ceiling, trying desperately to fall asleep. If I stay up on my own, by the time I'm ready to go to bed, they're awake.
Who was it that said "You don't pay a hooker for sex, you pay her to go home", or something to that effect?

Some might call that an embarrassment of riches. Anyway, I do believe that quote can be (at some point) attributed to Mr. Charlie Sheen.

Most of us with a parent from the phils know poverty through our parents or from the countless ppl in their villages where they grew up..... Not to get all serious or anything (and I know you're joking) but after the thorough brainwashing as a kid.... and a trip back to see the extended family..... (where you see poor relatives scrape by and the older ones forgo meals for the younger ones) it's pretty disgusting to come back to [Oz/Canada/USA/wherever] and see people waste food. So yeah, if memories of poverty still linger anywhere in the immediate filipino family, you can bet the younger ones ascribe to it .... I'm sure it's not a healthy practice in the developed world, but I kinda like all the weird "pinoy" sensibilities that surround it. e.g., - order only what you can eat. and be sure to finish it - if there are leftovers, take them home - don't order drinks in restaurants - don't order stuff your mom could make at home - use coupons wherever possible - order the menu items that present the best value and not necessarily the ones you want the most - don't order desserts or appetizers - etc etc. .... I'm actually quite happy about the brainwashing because now when i step into a restaurant and order a drink (e.g., rootbeer float, my favourite), i feel like i'm the luckiest guy in the world. Sounds stupid, but it literally brought me to tears on a couple occassions.

I've witnessed the ugly side of this phenomena first hand. There are varying degrees of it. Rob, your take on this is definitely one to be emulated by anyone who currently has access to the bounty that many others do not get to share in.

Groink - when you say "ugly side of the phenomena" are you referring to obesity and eating disorders? I would have thought the outcome should be mostly positive ("character building") and haven't seen (or noticed) the ugly side of it, which I'm sure there certainly is. Curious to get your views since they're first hand

No, basically I knew a guy who would hoard everything. He'd go to the kitchen after lunch service to get whatever was going to be thrown away -- without paying for lunch in the first place. Or he'd vulture supplies from fired employees. And if free stuff was being given out, he'd grab the lion's share often leaving others with the slim pickings. Beyond the material stuff, he was pretty much adamant about "getting his" by whatever means. And it's not like he was a spendthrift either.

Gotcha. I would have responded earlier but I was at the beach with my metal detector hunting for coins.
