^ Haha, I did turn out quite lacking in Asian features. I don't think I looked terribly Asian as a child, either, that photo was probably a one off baby photo where I look more Asian-esque. But having said that, my face was perhaps more Asian as a child, though I had lighter features and now my face is more Caucasian but with darker features. Its a tough life of physical racial characteristics change when living Eurasian.

My father has blue eyes and my mother has brown eyes. How the hell did I get green eyes?

My father has blue eyes and my mother has brown eyes. How the hell did I get green eyes? Were your eyes alway green? My eyes were dark dark blue when I was born and then brown started coming in shortly after. I have a mixture of colours but since its all dark, my eyes appear to be dark brown.

When I was younger they would actually change between green and blue. Now they are just green.

I think that if i passed you on the street, my radar would go off.. theres something about the shape of your face, the ridge of your nose, the flatness of your brow, the petite-ness of your features+figure, the asian-ness of you top lip and your skin tone, that makes me think 'eurasian'. I think what makes you so beautiful is that your features are all exactly half-way between asian and caucasian.. you are the quintessential EA robyn and a very lovely one at that . Plus, if you look at the little chinese girl next to you in your baby pic, her nose is very similar to your nose now.. is she a relative of yours?

My mother has blue eyes and my father has brown eyes. My sis and I both got brown, but my brother got green eyes though these days they are more of a brownish-green. My grandmother had green eyes so it was obviously in the family. The best hope for blue-eyed eurasians lies with my sister if things pan out with her current boyfriend, who comes from a long line of blue-eyed Brits. My wife does have some blues and greens in her family going back to her great grand-parents generations, but I bet we have brown eyed kids. Does anybody know off-hand whether green eyes are a recessive heritable trait in the same way that blue eyes are?

I can see what you are saying, the two forces of asian and european have blended like red and blue makes a complete purple, rather than splotches of blue and splotches of red here and there. I hope that wasn't too silly a metaphor... Yes, the Chinese girl next to me is my cousin. She is now 23 and has quite similar facial features as me, which is something I have only just realised upon reading your post. Strange.

Yea!! That colour description works.. And some eurasians are the splotchy kind and some are the blended type of eurasian. Personally i think i'm a bit splotchy.

^ Hmm not sure what you are saying with that one... is it that people do not see that you are asian/european until they get to know you?
^^ Jenni, I haven't seen a picture of you for a while, but I would say you look pretty blended in the cute photo of you as a youngen'!

^ Hmm not sure what you are saying with that one... is it that people do not see that you are asian/european until they get to know you? indeed it is! i was in a rush so it wasnt a good analogy. something with liquids would have been better. like salt in water or something. in any case i think i ended up completely homogeneous with my white genes winning out. maybe some subtle notes of asian heritage but it would have to maybe subconsciously appeal to people for example. my eyes are greenish blueish.
