I'm a college student. But I also get up at 5:30 every morning and go to an elementary school to watch kids at this before-school day care program. Most of them are 3rd and 4th graders with chronic ADHD or bipolarism. My contract ends at the end of the school year in May, at which point I will get my tubes tied and never work with children ever again.

^Getting the old tubes tied. I highly recommend the poodle: My mother is very satisfied with her's... but it's a good thing I came out first. I'd hate to have to ride that thing out the birth canal.

I worked in a tea depot called "Taiwan Tea Palace"... I was the manager during my last month and a half but I didn't stand Mr. Yang yelling at me during an hour after my job time was over every day for things I didn't do. He only speaks english and is worse than me at it, so he wasn't even able to understand me most of the time.
Right now I've searched for a job in every music store, but they want full time workers. Probably I'm going to apply for teleperformance to bother americans with their cell phone bills =D

^He only speaks English and is bad at it? A stopmotion video from my work. As the title implies. This is how we lab rats "take five".

Speaking of "what do you do for a living?"...what happened with the girl you were dating who had the...interesting...job?

that is so cool! How long did it take you guys to make? It took us 8 hours to film and it took me 3 days to edit--hundreds of frames were discarded in the process. I love my little art projects, but I couldn't do them for a living.

I can just imagine how tedious that must have been to put together! It was great though - thanks for sharing it! I know it's like the building blocks of stop motion - but I always love the crumpled paper bit

^I'm just an amateur dabbler. The stop-motion community is a wonderful thriving subculture. They're always in need of an audience. This guy is awesome: What program do you use? I've had to edit some videos for work myself, but I'm not very good at it. So tedious and time consuming! I used a stop-motion (frame grabber) program to capture, assemble, and export the frames. Then I used Pinnacle Studio 11 to edit the video. Pinnacle Studio has a lot of "fluff"--and bulk. It comes with special effects packages, but I didn't use any of it as they tend to be distracting. The small and elegant Sony Vegas would've done the job. It's been around a while and it's so easy to find and download .

How can you guys change jobs so often, I couldn't stand having to learn things all over again every 6-12 months?
As for me, I worked as a pizzaiolo at a fast food joint then as a receptionist at a luxury hotel in which I had to wear a suit, fake a distinguished accent and kiss rich foreign clients' asses to get 50$ tips (that was more than a whole day of work), first time speaking several languages payed off... and recently as an online marketing assistant, best job to date, the pay is nice, I work from home and it allows me to put into practice what I studied. I never had to work too much as I've mainly relied on academic scholarships but that came at the price of having to pull off 14+hours/day study sessions prior to exam periods..
I'm not counting the volunteering work at the red cross or the internship I did as I wasn't even paid for them. Strangely enough they all held weekly buffets for the staff and I'm not talking about cheap biscuits and tea but expensive alcohol, canapés and pastries. It's scary how some non-profits waste ridiculous sums of money on food.

I am currently a student and also a freelance writer as well as a virtual store owner. I want to work at the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help sick children and I promise I will do that one day when I am settled with myself. For now, I donate to them. ^_^ I also want to open my own brick-and-mortar boutique one day and introduce people to a whole different kind of fashion. I want to be Editor-In-Chief of my own magazine someday. I am slowly getting there.

^I'm an international affairs student at Sciences Po Paris. I'm also infrequently part of a band but I spend more dough on my gear than I earn at our confidential shows, a friend of mine who is also an artist is currently designing our Myspace, typography, graphic charter... I have too many simultaneous projects, my part-time job, an internship plus I'm planning to launch a website and it requires more work than I first thought, alot of coding and sales negotiations are ongoing, thank god the editorial content is kept minimal. I've been sleeping 4 hours a night for the past year. I think I might have ADD. You run your own online boutique? What do you sell?
