Which would you perform in concert?

As many of you know, I noodle around on the piano. I've been asked to participate in a charity concert in a few months. Audience is just a bunch of ppl from all walks of life in support of a good cause - not a finicky bunch in the least. Only need to play one piece and I'm torn as to what to play (entirely up to me).

If you were in the audience, what would you rather hear?

Some Joe Sample (or another jazz favorite)?


Studio Ghibli (or an Anime classic)?


Rachmaninoff (or a classical heavyweight)?


Or anything else? (I'll probably accompany a singer separately as back-up and I definitely don't have time to compose something really weird/funky as I'd like)

I can usu condense stuff down to one instrument so not totally fussed about the lack of accompaniments... and I have enough time to learn a new piece (well, except a monster classical one) .... just wanna play something that ppl will enjoy.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

I love that Rachmaninoff piece, but I think the studio Ghibli might be a crowd pleaser.

Incidentally, you've inspired me, do you happen to know where I might be able to order the Ghibli sheet music online?

^ You're probably right Nikki - thanks! Sorry I don't know where to get it that music on-line but I'll let you know if/when I have any luck finding it.
