Nice looking kid you got there nemesisgalofdoom (I know that sounds creepy but take it as a compliment. xD) As for my experience with kids, It's quite funny because kids are always staring at me and usually before they look their face is normal, but as soon as they see me, they full smile. (I feel special) As for hanging around children, I love 'em! They are still kids so they can't really hate you because you smell or because they don't like the way you act, AND you can act like a complete retard around them climbing trees and crap, and they love it (unlike a lot of arrogant adults...)

Any of you remember the Cabbage Patch kids craze in the States in the mid-80s? They were ugly buggers, but kids went crazy for them. I even took time off my Star Wars obsessions to ask my mum for one. Thankfully, she turned me down flat. I feel quite nervous around kids. I'm terrified they won't like me - I can't take the rejection! Having said that, kids usually like me a lot.

But I think all newborn babies are ugly. Not that I want to be racial, but I was thinking that many white newborns look weird .......always reminded me on Martians. Just because they are sooo white - with almost transparent skin and are bald. But all Asian and black babies which I've seen in the hospital looked cute @ sub Kids between 5 and 10 seem to like my brother alot, I think because he remind them on some anime/pc games char ...... ;D

Really ? Hehe, I think that white babies look ugly ...I*ve posted why. Don't worry about not looking mixed as a baby, my daughter is only 1/4th, and she looked full Asian when she "came out" (looked like half 30min later ........they change so fast )

I used to think that kids liked me, because they always stare at me, but I recently realized they are simply thinking, "What the devil is that?!" Because there aren't many EA's in the area.

i thought i was good with kids and i do think kids like me but i m not so sure i m good with kids anymore...someone mentioned to me something and i came to draw the conclusion that being good with kids isn t just about giving piggy back rides, entertaining them and have them like you but also being able to assert authority and set them an example, have them go by your rules and be someone they can have fun with AS WELL AS someone they should look up to and respect... which i think is tremendously difficult...
i think i d be too "disappointed" in a kid if they did something horribly wrong to actually scold them but at the same time, there comes times when i feel like the only way i can be assertive with them is by scolding them the way i was scolded which can be a bit to the other end of the spectrum...a tad too extreme compared to the silent disappointment...so balancing out the friendliness and authority makes me in fact, not as good with kids as i wish i really was...

^I wouldn't be too harsh on yourself, because what you've just described is the aspect that I would say is the most difficult with regards to parenting.
If anything, you're at an advantage if and when that time comes in your life compared to most other people, given the nature of the work that you have already done.
Also, I'm interested, what is your definition of, 'scolding' ?
