^ Because many teenybopper Asian girls and guys would like to look more Eurasian (according to popular belief).

I was flicking through her blog - i was that bored at work. there was a pic of her and 'her mum'. they looked alike, so unless it was a mother-daughter surgery thing, i dont think the 'before' pic was her. i think the mouth/lips of the before girl is better than the after.

I think her and her mum look rather different? She (mum) has a broad face, small eyes, and is much more typically Asian in appearance compared to Dawn. Haha let me copy and paste for comparison's sake. I should be studying why am I posting useless things?

The after picture looks just like my stepsister on my mum's side, of course she's natural, and pureblood Asian as well. I never thought Singapore would have this kawaii going on. Then again I wasn't there for long and my cousin sis didn't grow up there during her teens.
Btw speaking of plastic surgery, I knew a girl who was incredibly drop-dead gorgeous when I first met her, however as she was dark-skinned, she decided to go for skin treatments and turned out to be the most repulsive woman I have ever known. It's a sad thing because there is nothing you can do with such people.

^teehee, the before photo doesnt show up! :/ as for dawn yang, i'm just wondering how she affords everything; traveling, food, going out, clothes etc. is she a trust fund baby? what exactly does she do for a living? after browsing a few of her blog entries and looking at the photos, i'm confused. i've never heard of her before until this topic. and to be perfectly honest, i do not find her ugly however she really does look obviously made up.... which is a bit unattractive to me. i can see her appeal to other men and women though, it's just not how i'd wanna look. she also seems to wear a lot of designer clothes based on the entries / photos she posts of them but eh.... doesn't really wear them all that well. well i'll end that here, really not my intention to nitpick or hate on her. i'm on the same boat as robyn, really don't understand why she's a big deal on 'teh internetz'. she's not that big though i guess, seeing as how i never heard of her until now! I too am confused how she can afford everything. If she can simply from blogging, then I am highly impressed. I don't find the results of her plastic surgery repulsive, or unattractive, but it just looks awkward, rigid and character-less... if you know what I mean. Which i guess does lend itself into being unattractive. I agree with Helles she definitely has that japanese/korean/asian pop star kawaii bleach skin/round eyes long lashes thing going on. Apparently, her blogging celebrity status netted her modelling contracts so it's not impossible to afford such an upscale lifestyle. I find this kawaii trend scary, it must be frightening to wake up in the morning around this type of chick without the gallon of paint on the face. The before/after pics share striking similarities so it's highly possible that they portray one and the same person that being said something else is bugging me: how did she get her body to become very fair from dark so uniformously?

I don't really mind girls with lots of make-up, surgery and low self-esteem. Probably why I know so many of them. Dig a little deeper, past the glowing exterior and pomposity and a lot of them are real cool/down-to-earth. Or maybe they aren't, but they're still fun to look at.
Sometimes it's just a facade they put up during those uncomfortable teenage years.
