Yes but not OCD in a creative, productive way.. just plain OCD crazy. For example, if i make a mistake in some household chore or dont do it in the exact timeframe that she wants it done in, she throws a temper tantrum. Then she brings it up for the next few days and then stores that small thing to memory for the next few years just in case.. JUST IN CASE.. it can be brought up in her daily rants about how incompetent i am.

We have a cleaner who comes in twice a week. My mum has to make sure the place is clean before she arrives.
She washes egg shells out after she's used them so they're clean enough to put in the compost. Wouldn't be doing for the worms to get sick.

^ lol. do we have the same mother?! except mine doesn't need to be a household chore, just anything in life that i do wrong, or not the way according to her.
she has the memory of an elephant. she still brings up crap about how my ex did her wrong and how i didn't support her at the time. the dude is no longer in my life. get over it, please!
regards to furniture/cleaning etc in the house, she is pretty set in her ways with how everything has to be just so. when we lived with her, she'd make us do chores and tidy up, but since we've moved out, she won't let us do anything in her house, incase we do it wrong. that's fine with me and my sister, we just sit, watch tv, or nap, then eat when we visit her these days!

Is this a well known generalisation: Mothers from Hong Kong are the most irrational and fussy when it comes to their son's/daughter's choice of partner? I am just wondering because I've heard this from some people a few times.
My mum also loves to remember small things that I do wrong (i.e. coming home too late) and then criticising me later on. She also loves to give me silent treatment if she's angry with me rather than talk about it in a civilised way. How effective, how annoying.

^I think that kind of thiing is OCD-like, even though it isnt about cleanliness..remembering out of place details, any deviation from how things 'should be'.

Speaking of cleanliness my mum goes NUTS, I do chores every week, and in my days off, she expects me to go clean crazy and like renovate the whole house. When it comes to my hair anything over like 10 cm in length is quote "girl hair" and walking around bare foot is suicide. If I've had a shower in the afternoon/night and I take one step outside the house I'm instantly "dirty" etc etc. I'm not sure if she's crazy. : /

Ex-girlfriend's mother (lives in UK, from HK) warned her daughter saying that mixed kids were the worst - they're all playboys!! On an OCD/anal/irrational note: I remember the three of us walking down Nathan Rd in the light rain. Everyone had their umbrellas open. Mother turns to me and my ex complaining about all the inconsiderate HK people who poke each others eyes out with their umbrella spokes. Meanwhile she is walking along plowing people out of the way with her own umbrella.
