I dont know how common this is but my mother used to like buying a lot of household stuff and hoarding it. I'm talking like boxes of soap, toothbrushes the lot.

Did she also take all the free toiletry in hotels and (non-plastic) cutlery/blankets off planes?! Basically anything free, she'd take and then some!

lol. maybe they are just symptoms of women-who-like-free-things.
i too am guilty of hoarding freebies, mostly stuff i don't need. or buying extra crap i don't need just to get the freebie thrown in.

i'm definitely not a packrat. if i inherited ocd-ness, if anything it's in perfectionism. possibly borderline hypochondriac too. i currently have eye cancer, lock jaw, and my cat needs protection from swine flu. as you may know already  |

I don't think it's an Asian thing, it's more of a mum thing. There are non-Asian mums out there as well by the way |

^ really? i couldn't get into it at all, i've tried to watch it twice, and fell asleep both times.. hmm will try again, maybe watch it untired!
i watched another film recently with that woman in it, she was playing pretty much the same character. my friends mum is a lot like that, always with a fag dangling out her mouth and shouting rather than talking, with every other word a cuss. she's awesome.

;D hahahaha! i remember the landlady!!! i agree with helles though...it s a bit hard to get into the movie...but then again it seemed to be too close to the ben stiller/adam sandler type of american movie humour which i m not really into...you ll get me to snickera couple of times but not literally laugh out loud like i do with more "subtle" type of humour. i loved that landlady though! and the movie was entertaining enough...i want to use her as my profile pic i think |
