This is SO tragic. He was so not allowed to die. Such a talented musician I would have paid so much to see him live

I saw him live in Singapore in 1993. It was the very day all the first child abuse allegation came out. He didn't turn up for the show. So we went back the next day. And Liz Taylor rolled into the stadium to show her support. What a night. Great show. What a blazing talent. RIP

I feel sorry for all those kids who now have to go back to their mothers. can't decide if they're better or worse off-they'll grow up relatively out of the insanity of their father's lifestyle, but with the knowledge they're living with someone who basically sold them.

read in a thread discussing if MJ was really a pedophile....
"listen, if some kids had to get f***ed so we can have Thriller.... so be it"
(personally i feel he had a lot of chilhood issues that manifested themselves in a kind of peter pan complex)

Speaking of Liz Taylor she's also looking like she's soon to kick it. Her or maybe Diana Ross!

The fact is, if he wasn't the most popular musician in history, none of you would be talking about him in the first place.
What that tells you is that musically he is one of the few true legends to have ever graced the earth, and when it's all said and done, years from now his music will be remembered more than anything else (see Elvis).
His place is music will remain unparalleled.
Never again in history will there be a music phenomenon that is even 1/50 of what MJ was.
This is just the simple truth.
Inspired by James Brown and and Fred Astaire, MJ was the one who really spawned hiphop dancing into the worldwide craze that it is today.
Everytime you see Usher, Ne-Yo, Omarion, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, [insert singer/dancer here], you can thank MJ.
Everytime you see a music video post-1982, you can thank MJ for releasing Thriller which literally changed the FACE of how we visually see music.
If a pop album as credible as Thriller sells one tenth of what Thriller did, I'll fly Neptune.
104 million albums from Thriller alone, which is more than the biggest artists today have sold combined. Now let's look at the rest of his discography - 800 MILLION.
Now look at his style... influential for the past 40 years and will continue for the next century.
Regardless of what YOU think of him personally, the force that he was and will continue to be in pop culture will never be touched.

Speaking of Liz Taylor she's also looking like she's soon to kick it. just you hush!don't jinx La Liz! i agree with LaFace, whatever anyone thinks of him,he was the definition of 'icon'.it doesn't by any means excuse any crimes he may have comitted, but neither do those alleged crimes take away from his impact.
