What time do you go to bed? Once you're in bed, how long does it take you to fall asleep? Is your sleep unbroken or do you wake throughout the night? What time do you get up? Do you sleep and wake the same time on weekends as you do on weekdays? All in all, how many hours of sleep do you get?
Your sleeping habits. Discuss.

I on most days I sleep from midnight-6am. I only need about 6 hours to recover from a normal day.... (more if it was stressful/tiring). I try to sleep at 10pm, but that means I end up waking up at 4am.

I always aim to be in bed for midnight. I'll read a bit before bed. Heavy sleeper and will sleep uninterrupted for 8 hours. Hate getting out of bed. Can sleep anywhere/anytime! And I'm not very good at sharing my bed.

Sleeping circles change depending on my 7-day work shifts. So I don't really know how to answer lol!
Hahaha same! She complains I shuffle around too much and wake her up (apparent light sleeper)!

I usually only get 6-7 hours of sleep, but last night I only got 3-4 which might explain why I feel like crap right now (imo, if you get only 2-3 hrs of sleep it literally feels like you've got no sleep at all).

If anybody ever votes 12+ hours of sleep they should be slapped. Get off your lazy ass and get a job, fatso.
I lay in bed for about 5 hours, but I really get 4 hours of sleep a night. Part of this is because life is just too short to be sleeping through most of it, and partly because I drink a lot of soda and I have difficulty breathing while laying in certain positions. But even if I didn't, I wouldn't be sleeping for 12+ hours. That's ridiculous. I had a roommate who slept a lot, and I hated her. She skipped classes so she could sleep, and she was stupid. Just get out of the bed and go out and face life.

i usually get 6-7 hours sleep, plus about 30 mins lazing in bed trying to wake myself up and get out of bed time. i tend to wake up once during the night, to turn off the A/C usually.
i actually slept for about 10 hours on friday night, the first time in a long time.. i needed it tho since i had slept for a lot less the past week or so.

Used to think that sleeping was a huge waste of time, but I have since come around to fully appreciate the bliss of being (healthily) unconscious.
I think I used to get about 9-10 hours every night when I was in uni. Ahhhh uni.
Probably get about 8 on average now. I can't really function well if I've only had 5-7. But I'll bear it and make it up later in the week. None of that wasting time trying to get myself up though -- once the alarm goes off, I'm up.

I try to age gracefully with at least 8 hours of sleep. Sleeping also allows for the hippocampus to form short term (circuit) memory into long term (synaptic) memory. So people who get their recommended minimum have better memory/knowledge retention. That's why sleep is as important as study. Pulling an all nighter before an exam doesn't help you much. Sleep is boring though. The topic of dreams is much more interesting. To sleep. To dream, perchance to oxygenate?

Sleep is great and necessary, but when you abuse it, it becomes annoying to those around you.

Sleep is great and necessary, but when you abuse it, it becomes annoying to those around you. Not everyone snores during their sleep if that's what you mean. That aside, the abuses of people are more rampant in their waking lives. More often than not, I'd like to send people back to their beds. But that's just me.

I think Robyn posted about the sleeping habits of her boyfriend in the ranting thread a while back. And I have the exact same. I go to bed around 4 AM and wake up around 12 or 1 PM. It's awful and I want to change it but I can't

Because sometimes obesity causes disruption in sleep patterns.
