It was a pretty good fight but what freaked me out is that Pacquiao didnt even get a single scratch on him even after the fight and I did see Cotto landing some good blows on him..................

I really wanted to see the fight, but norwegian TV never airs boxing matches... He is so fast that his poor opponents aren't even able to see where his fists are coming from! He is disfiguring the faces of every person he fights ;D And what's Manny's number of knockouts now, 38? He truly is a legend

As a sidebar, I just got back from General Santos and Sarangani Province last week -- my second trip to the Pacman's home. Pacman fever is all over the place, and his Gen San home is on the itineary of any local tour.
The first time I went was during his election to Congress (that he lost), but I learnt that he is running in Sarangani Province next year, and not Gen San city.

You missed the post-fight interview after he got out of the locker room. Manny's face showed that he took a lot of punishment (not, of course, as much as he dealt out). I can't believe that after the fight he went out and SANG 8 songs in concert. The man is a legend! Besides his amazing boxing skill and punching power, I really admire his friendly and businesslike approach to the game. The Zab Judahs have turned me off to boxing. Manny is old school!

^ the tough boxer singing love songs after fights, that's so sweet! ;D I already knew that he had released songs, but hadn't heard them yet. nice voice...
I heard that after defeating Oscar de la Hoya, Manny told him that he still sees him as his idol, which touched Oscar to tears... ^^ I admire that he is still so grounded and modest...

I can't wait to see him fight Mayweather. I can't deny Mayweather's a good boxer, but he's such a jerk. Time for some humility, courtesy of pow pow Pacquiao.

Guess he is human after all.

I always take some Asian pride when we succeed at manly pursuits. Do you think people would still be doubting on Manny if he were black or latino?
On a similar note I was proud as hell of Hideki Matsui too, even though I'm neither a baseball nor a Yankee fan. Maybe we need some more Asian sports celebrities who aren't so humble and gracious - some bad boy arrogant types - to balance things out and dispel the stereotype that Asian athletes are honorable and classy.

I hope you realize Floyd is not really like that, it's all to hype the fight and publicity. He said it himself people like controversy and drama.

He wants a 65:35 split of the prize money for a bout with Manny, which is just ridiculous. I stand to be corrected though.

I think it's probably going to come down to 55/45 or 50/50. I believe in Roach but I don't think Manny will be able to beat Floyd after watching the Cotto fight. Just the way Cotto begin to outbox Manny and begin to win some rounds. Defensively he didn't have an answer to that jab. Truth is Shane causes more problems for Mayweather than Manny.
