I was vaguely toying with the idea to head for the strip club for valentines day. Possibly weep uncontrollably at the salad bar. Who's in?! Oddly I've never had the chance to share the day with someone I was dating. Always away for work or just single. What plans does everyone else have then? Graphic descriptions not necessary but welcome.

I've only had one Valentine's Day in a couple, and it was pretty sucky. I thought I was gonna have one again this year, but dumped the cretin a month ago. Clearly I was never a boy scout, I know nothing of being prepared. This Valentine's Day I plan to spend the way I've spent most others: lurking in romantic restaurants behind potted plants and pianos and throwing breadsticks and dinner rolls at happy couples. And maybe a bowl of soup if I see one that's just too happy. *edit: Wait, strip clubs now have salad bars?

Every Valentine's Day is a normal day for us. We've even spent it in separate countries. We're far more likely to be celebrating Chinese New Year this time around than we are V day.

Salad bar in a Strip Club? I love your ghetto-ness Penguino. But I'd stick to the steaks.
Us, we're trying out a new restaurant in the city - an Asian fusion place called the House. Nothing much else planned but a little gift that is a considerable upgrade on the last few years. Hope she likes it. I'm not the biggest fan of Valentine's day but for people like me who are generally non-romantic, it's not always bad to get a cue (from Hallmark or whoever) to act a little romantic once in a while.

All I really wanted to do was nerd it up all weekend in my room, but the internet went off just as I finished duty =/ I'm connected right now through a distant, free connection but it's more annoying than useful.
Probably spending V-day PT'ing, take some sleeping aids and pass out. Other alternative is going down to the lounge to get some.

Going out to a restaurant with 4 generations of our family, but it is to celebrate the lunar New Year; there was a quiet exchange of presents this morning between my wife and I.

His FOB accent is hilarious. ;D Is it on purpose though? I have no special someone at the moment, so today was kind of *stuck during 5 hours family meal* Chinese New Year celebration.
Xin nian kuai le, everyone !

Didn't do anything too special this year. I had friends visiting from out of town so we ended up hitting up Chinese New Year and having lunch. Other than that, Bahzad and I are just hanging out and enjoying the fact that we're no longer a long distance couple!
