Hi everyone... I thought I would ask for advice here, as I think there MUST be Eurasians out there with similar experience in these matters.
So here goes:
I am a dual citizen of the UK and Philippines. I am planning to visit the US to see some friends in a couple of months, and was wondering whether I would be eligible to use my British passport and the Visa Waiver program.
I am basically a newbie when it comes to travelling to third countries as a dual citizen. I have always used my British passport in Europe, and my Philippine passport in Asia. I know the US is possibly one of the trickiest when it comes to immigration policies, so I just wanted to make sure all my plans are aboveboard.
I was considering travelling on my British passport because of the convenience provided by the Visa Waiver Program, but I'm worried that since I have entered on a different passport in the past, it may cause some confusion.
I'd really appreciate some comments if anyone on the board has had similar experiences.
Thanks!

I was considering travelling on my British passport because of the convenience provided by the Visa Waiver Program, but I'm worried that since I have entered on a different passport in the past, it may cause some confusion. I'm sort of wondering about this too as I recently purchased a ticket to Malaysia under my British passport, but will be travelling under my Australian passport to leave Australia (I will carry both on the journey so I can produce either at any time necessary.) When asking around it seems that when purchasing the ticket, they just need to see that you are a valid traveller at the time of flying else there will be disputes later. When I check-in I will have to produce the passport that I bought it under. When I go through customs here I will use my Australian passport with an Australia embarkation pass, so that it lets the Australian government know I'm a citizen leaving the country for a bit and that I should return soon. When I get to Malaysia, they see that I have the stamp in my Australian passport from leaving, but the entry card to Malaysia I can fill out any passport there. - This is the bit that I believe applies to you, in a similar way for the US you should be able to use your British passport to get in. When leaving you will use your British passport and when entering the Philippines again, you will use that passport as that is what you used when you left. I would be interested to see what other have to say about this particular subject too!
