First of all, after a form slump that lasted about 2-3 years, it is good to see the greatest football league on earth represented in the final once again; this time by Inter Milan.
Who will win, Inter Milan or Bayern Munich, and why?
I can't wait for this - May 23, it's going to be intense!
The defensive performance by Inter against Barca in the second leg of their semi was just incredible (even more so taking into account the ridiculous red card forcing inter to play with 10 men against barca for 70 minutes at a stadium full of barca fans fanatically going off their head).
I'd love to see Inter win this and once again confirm Serie A as the european league of the decade at top flight.
I like Inter, but only because it's an Italian team with no Italians. I'm not sure about Serie A being the best league, but I don't know how to measure that other than by Champions league titles (and there they are tied for second with the Premier League, which also had the disadvantage of a five-year ban). I do know the league does have some racist, obnoxious fans and match-fixing issues, but I guess you can make the case that every major league in Europe has some of that.
I think I'm cheering for Bayern and their ugly-ass whore-monger Ribery (plus Robben has all the best goals) but I'm mostly hoping for a good game. The Liverpool-AC Milan game five years ago was what made me a club-soccer fan so I'm just hoping for some fireworks, maybe a 3 goal comeback in the second half against a defensive minded Italian team. Bayern's had some pretty good comebacks so far. As for Barca, well, they can be pretty annoying too but at their best I still think they're the most talented and exciting club team.
I'm a distant cousin of Singaporean pop sensation Dìck Lee. Bruce would have been a lot cooler but I'll take it.
