When the Egyptians topple their government, they are likely to undergo a period of anarchy, with no clear consensus of what they want, ruled by amateur dabblers who ruin everything. At what point will people miss the old days, when demonizing Mubarak was the solution to all their problems?

I'm inclined to think they would see martial law before anarchy. Worst case scenario they end up like Burma or Zimbabwe. If they're lucky it'll be like Turkey.

I believe this is an opportunity for Egypt's youth to show the world they are ready for true freedom.
Perhaps, during a long period of the 20th Century until today, a hard ruler was the best way to keep peace on these lands... or at least that's the idea of the western world... but now a majority of well educated, secular young people, a new generation in every way, is ready to replace the old order.
Best case scenario is this wave of "youth awakening" will be the foundations of "European style" democracies. And at least they'll achieve an Arab World with freedom of speech and freedom of thought.
