Thank you notes/emails, emails are usually more practical these days. It helps to cement the meeting in their minds and gives a small informal writing sample/touch of personality, imo.

Internships, great way to gain work experience, and I'm always nice to interns, everyone I know is, so it's a good way to learn. Here are two sources, but the best sources are usually through acquaintences or through your department. www.internships.com/www.internshipprograms.com/

Hey, I remember a member, CJF I think, asking about an Americorp resume. Did you ever get it CJF? If so, perhaps you can share with us what that was like, or some of the other volunteer work you do, I can't be the only one that would like to know about it.
