I hve green/light brown eyes (hazel?) but they change to blue everynow and then depending on mood/ weather etc. I've also noticed that ppl sometimes treat me differently because of their colour (in relation to me looking eurasian). Anyone else have that?

Asians have shorter/straighter eyelashes. Mine are long and semi-thick but kinda straight. Not as curly as white people's...or maybe they all just use eyelash curlers and I don't...

I noticed that asians have shorter ones...White people vary, some have long and some dont. I also noticed that I have much thicker hair than nearly all white (Norwegians), like the double or more of theirs The hairdressers always comment on my very thick hair. I guess I make extra work for them, haha ;D But my sister also gets this, and shes blonde... I would believe thick hair and thick/long eyelashes are corelated? Or am I wrong?

www.creativepro.com/story/howto/25189.html?cprose=dailyThis article really pissed me off - it's a Photoshop technique to make eyes look "better" in a photo and basically all it does is make them lighter. To me, while not overt racism, it still does send a message that dark eyes are somehow less appealing and a lighter, more nordic eye color is better. These are the idiots who alter the pics in advertising to show "real beauty". I know - I have a friend who does this for a living, sometimes altering a model's shade or even elongating her legs etc per the clients request. I can see why so many people with beautiful brown eyes have such a negative self image ( calling them s*** brown eyes) with crap like this around and go buy those stupid contacts to lighten them.

The girl looked pretty with her original Brown eyes, to be honest. I think brown eyes are lovely. Eye colour doesnt have too much to say, its the eyes that hold the colour, not the colour that holds the eyes

I have hazel eyes. My mom's dark brown; my dad's are blue-green. Hazel is an example of incomplete dominance. My sister's are also hazel but darker than mine.

What is the definition of hazel eyes? Where does the line go from hazel eyes to brown eyes?

@creole. Honestly I've always favored green eyes but yes brown is beautiful. Color is a part of eye "appeal" but shape and lashes frame them. Furthermore the "LIFE" of an eye isn't solely based on color. One can see warmth, naughtiness, sensuality, melancholy, etc in eyes which all add to the appeal. For example, I don't know the color of Benicio del Toro's or Robert Mitchum's eyes, but I swoon. Their eyes are very inviting. BTW I don't think the link was racist but rather discriminatory against brown-eyed folk. There are lots of brown-eyed whites and I have even seen brown eyed Nordics. Like I said I dont think it was actually racist per se but more of a reflection of society's belief that lighter or non-brown eyes are "better". It's a problem in any place where brown eyes are common. I saw my own children deal with this as my oldest would be ignored by her Latin relatives in favor of my blue-eyed, paler, younger daughter as people went on and on about her "pretty eyes" which in Germany or elsewhere wouldn't even be worth a mention.

How do the Asian relatives act? Your family? There are no asian relatives - if there were I'd be liked here

That girl in the link...I find it funny that they didn't enlarge her pupils at all...that's generally a popular tactic in making people more attractive in photos. Larger pupils occur in humans when they are looking at someone they are attracted to, and since people are generally attracted to people that are attracted to them, enlarged pupils run rampant in fashion magazines. Models with "come f*** me" pupils. Heh.
In any case...sure light eyes can be attractive, but I'm more into the dark eyes. Johnny Depp's eye color is just perfect. ;D

Here in Norway, brown eyes and green are considered more exotic. Like my mum, she wishes that she had brown or green eyes ;D
