I hve green/light brown eyes (hazel?) but they change to blue everynow and then depending on mood/ weather etc. I've also noticed that ppl sometimes treat me differently because of their colour (in relation to me looking eurasian). Anyone else have that? Treat you different? how? Hmm, I'm really not sure (could just be a complex ;p) sometimes I think because I look mixed but have light eyes ppl think that I'm wearing coloured contacts. Either way, I can tell when someone notices and then they sort of treat me, differently (and not always in a good way)? Did that make any sense whatsoever?

^ its really great once you become a collection of traits that make you suitable for breeding stock instead of a person

In more color conscious societies like Latin America its like the prize.

Yes, true. But sometimes (and yes, this could just be paranoia) I think that on top of being mixed, having different coloured eyes (or hair etc) just confuses people even more. I find that when someone doesn't recognise you from their own experience they're not exactly sure how to treat you.

^ yep, which is why mixed people often gravitate to others like them - so they can avoid that stuff

^ yep, which is why mixed people often gravitate to others like them - so they can avoid that stuff You know I haven't gravitated to a lot of mixed people aside from cyberworld. Funny I usually gravitate to people my height or those raised Catholic. I think I have 'raised Catholic" on my forehead. Oh wait, at work the American older women tend to sit with me because most of my co-workers are foreign. The younger ones and men of any age are more multicultural. Hmm, why are men more open to diversity. Oops get off topic. Really? Can you always tell if ppl are mixed? I never used to assume with people before because I knew they could never guess where I was from either. Its only now that I'm finding that mixed race people might have a better grasp on my own background. As for guys being open to diversity.. er.. maybe because sometimes they're too attracted to physical attributes before personality?

I think sometimes we may think som much about this that people might start to notice that there IS something funny about us. If you have more selfconfidence and think about yourself as a person and not about how you look all the time, the world might respond in a different way.

I think it just depends on whether I want to look too 'deeply' into things. Although sometimes it makes me a little too confident and that's probably where it backfires (I forget people actually like a personality not just a different look :-) )

^That is true, the darker your eyes the less defined your pupil area is. My eyes are dark brown, very dark right around the pupil, and then lighter as they reach out to the ends, with a little bit of greenish before the whites of my eyes (this is only if you look at my eyes really close up, from even a little bit away they just look dark brown). So I got big looking pupils, even when I'm not stoned. ;D

Actually once I read that due to the "big pupils" attraction thing humans find dark eyes attractive since they look as if your pupils were constantly dilated I know it works on me ;D
