I have dark brown eyes. I really like dark eyes and wish mine were darker though. I tend to not like lighter colors in eyes, but sometimes grey eyes can be really pretty especially if coupled with black hair...I dunno though, I think I'd like to have black hair and black eyes. Both my eyes and my hair are dark brown/almost black.

dark brown eyes. both of my parents have brown eyes.
darker eyes are more mysterious because it's harder to tell if they find you attractive or not by the size of their pupils.

dark brown eyes. both of my parents have brown eyes. darker eyes are more mysterious because it's harder to tell if they find you attractive or not by the size of their pupils. That's definitely one of the reasons. There was one guy that I really liked who had grey eyes. I just plain stopped liking him when I noticed one day when we were talking that he had TINY pupils...By chance, a few days later I saw a documentary on human attraction and learned why I found his tiny pupils unattractive (because they signaled that he didn't find me attractive...and I always thought I was into unrequited love, guess not ). But another reason that dark eyes are considered mysterious is because you kind of get lost in them (this is also because the pupil is difficult to locate). It's just a sea of darkness and you feel like you don't know what the person is thinking and you feel that they have depths to their souls which you can't fathom (stop me if I'm getting too pukey-romantic). With someone that say has green eyes...well, you can see the pupil completely. It's right there in front of you...hell, you could reach out and poke it (of course you could do that with a dark eyed person, but with them there's a higher chance you'd miss). With eyes like that you feel like you have the person figured out already and that they don't have hidden depths. I'm not saying that dark eyed people ARE more mysterious or deep, just that, because they're dark eyed, they seem like it.

why would you want to poke someone's pupil? lol
anyway, the lighting also affects the size of someone's pupil. if it's dark their pupils will be larger to let more light in, but if it's bright their pupils will be really small.
it's interesting that you noticed the size of the guy's pupils (that almost sounds dirty). come to think of it, all of my bfs have had brown eyes so i've never noticed their pupils.

Oh, come on, you haven't LIVED if you haven't experienced the sheer joy of poking someone in the eye...Hehe. ;D I don't usually go out of my way to notice a guy's pupils...I'm not THAT insane...But the fact that this guy's pupils were so tiny made me find him unattractive. That's the only time I ever noticed pupils on a guy. DAMN! I never even thought about the lighting, even though everyone knows lighting affects the size of pupils. It was glaringly BRIGHT that day! OMG ...I stopped liking him for no reason...

So...he wasn't focused on me...What a jerk, I take my last comment back, I'm GLAD I stopped liking him. Yeah, I notice things like hands, lips, nose, hair, etc....But mostly I'm into an overall view of a guy. And torso/chest is really important. I'm not even sure how to describe it, but when some guys wear sweaters and it hangs on them just so...well...DAMN;D. But eyes are really important too, the shape and the color...and the pupils, apparently. *hehe, I was just thinking how funny it would have been if I'd forgotten to put the comma between the words "nose" and "hair"...

It must be genetically possible. I have a full Japanese father with brown eyes and a caucasian mother with blue eyes. My sister has green eyes too. Sounds like your Father's side of the Family has a Cacasian/Eurasian member some were. Knowing a little about Japanese culture it would be fair to say they would not spread that information around about a Gringo in the family. Mine are brown, my mom has green eyeys, dad Brown. LOL, you forgot about "Red" I would guess a few here have Red eyes at time : ;D

I would really like black eyes i mean jet jet black. I think its mysterious and it would be really great since no one would know if im concentrating on them or not. I dont think its genetically possible to get black eyes actually.

yeah, it's abit boring when it's jet black though...my eyes are really black in any lighting, you can't see anything in the iris. the only way the pupils can be seen is in direct sunlight, and even then it's tiny and like needlepoints because of too much light. lol so i just have what looks like no iris most of the time and giant pupils. i think it's pretty the way there are flecks of gold or green in the iris of some peoples' eyes.
