Are contacts worth it? A few peers have told me that you're prone to getting sore/itchy eyes with them on. Also the cost/efficiency..

I find them pretty annoying, but I've known people that can wear them for months at a time. So just give them a shot, they're good for sports and stuff.

at first they were a hassle, but if u use good quality solution, carry sum eye drops on ya for when ur eyes get abit dry then it's fine. as for cost vs. efficiency. well it's like u have 20/20 vision without a frame of glasses to obstruct the view. plus i think i look hotter without glasses, but ppl say i look good either way . lol. and getting them in is easy after a while...i get them in in less than 10 secs per eye, and i get them out even faster. they r abit costly, but if u think about it, it's like buying a new frame every year.

Ive worn contacts since I was 13, I never wore glasses full time and the only time I have done that was when I had a scarred cornea after a severe viral infection, last last summer.
I started off on yearly contacts, but now use disposable (daily) which are the best as they are the most hygenic. I don't want to run the risk of a viral AND a bacterial infection, also, if needs be, I can just yank them out.
I honestly can't feel them except when tired, or if they've gone in the wrong way, or if something gets in my eye. I much prefer them as you don't have limited vision (ie. vision everywhere rather than just through your frames), you have clearer vision..and when you do sport, well, it's just easier! And I still haven't found a pair of frames which I think really suit me.

I don't really like wearing contacts for long periods of time, leaves my eyes feeling tired, dry and itchy. I used to put up with the irritation and constantly wear contacts, but now, I tend to wear glasses more, only wear glasses when I can be bothered to put the effort in.
oh and if i wear glasses i tend to look more asian, without more white.

Can you you swimming with contacts on? I wanted to get laser eye surgery solely for that purpose.
Personally I think I look better with glasses, more Asian like Helles said, but I look too baby faced without!

Ok, that clears that up. Do you go on RateDesi then? It seems very busy there. Sometimes for fun.

^ Ratedesi is quite interesting. Desis there, are more open than they are in IRL. So it is an eye-opener. What did your friend say about her pic being used?

Whether I look more asian than white depends highly on who you ask.
In Denmark I look 100% asian, in the Philippines I look 100% white.
I've always compared myself to mestizos in latin america, I do believe I could easily blend in look wise.

^ definitely mixed... tibetans that dont kno me usually think im nething else than tibetan, so they just say 'ingjee bhu' which means 'english boy'. n wen i speak tibetan they go 'oh how come u speak tibetan, wer did u learn it?'... most people think im russian i was surprised i dint get that in the racial dissection thread then 'native alaskan' and also 'afghan' also 'half thai' so i guess im just unique lol When I saw your pic, my first guess was Afghan but Afghans often have stronger east asian looks. i kno, but afghanistan is not a homogenous nation, they have pashtos, persians and tajik and usbeks... i look central asian somtimes, my sister could pass as 100% kasakh or usbek but its strange cos tibetans often said my mom looked like shes half indian.... yeah i saw ur pic but i think ud look latino wen ur tanned. at the mo u look like a onur/oezer/cem/ahmed 2 me. iv seen a lot of EA lookin turks, because a lot of them also hav central asian blood hope ur not offende by that tho.. ;D
