Weirdly enough, yes. Although my dad and I were never close, if you look at the details of my face, I look just like him, and also we have similar hand writing, and when we pack up our bags, we tend to pack up the exact same way. You give us two duffel bags and we'll pack similar stuff in the various compartments.

Finally, the urge to post something semi-meaningful. My Papa is far away and I miss him terribly. I'm exactly like my father. It's said girls tend to marry men like their fathers. Then why the hell do I not know what I'm looking for? Oh.. right. My sister is more like my mother. Too bad for her. My brother is also like my father but in that sackopotatoesish way. Siggie- repressing emotions + a short temper.. quite the combo, eh?

SiamIam -True! We do marry our fathers, if not the exact opposite. Curlytop - Are you sure about that one buddy? If anything I look the least like Tia Carrere!

I have my dad's affability and sense of humor. Or basically, I'm a lot like him on personality. Otherwise, no. He's the hardest working man I know. I'm the biggest slacker I know.

Maow- You also inherited the deadly Irish accent!!
I have to say; after reading "The Celestine Prophecy" I do agree that I am a spiritual thinsesis of my parents. I have adopted the major themes/personal struggles of their lives. My dad has always struggled with his identity. He calls himself a Canadian yet he was interned as a child and sees a Japanese person staring back at him in the mirror. In Japan my dad saw similarities of himself in the culture but ultimately he is not Japanese. My mom is constantly preparing, anticipating, or adapting to adversity with a tenacity that often distances herself from loved ones-maybe she should watch Godfather 2.
