My aunts have never done that to me or my sister. They always just compliment both of us equally. If they do talk about who is prettier or which one of us looks more Asian or more Euro, then they have the decency to do it behind our backs.

Prettiest, handsomest, fattest, tallest, smartest...all my asian aunties compare my cousins constantly, and it drives me insane. In fact, on a recent trip to Cali, I met some 2nd cousins for the first time and they were scared to talk to me because my SAT score had preceded me. How 'effed up is that?

I never had the problem. As DaisyPukes quite rightly says, I'm not good looking enuff to have had to suffer demeaning comparisons.

Ha! Apparently, according to my mum's sisters, my head on my sister's body would make a perfect person! hahahaha

I get compared A lot with my twin. My twin sister is much more European looking than me and I could possibly pass as just Japanese. Not just from Asian mothers either. Well, my mums not Asian so she doesn't count.

XIII : you have twin sister?? wow never knew that. Well i hope you dont feel down abt being compared and all, its evil but its also very human. I used to wish i had my younger sister name. Its quite stupid but i wished it anyway. One fine day youll realise you dont want to be anyone else but you. xD

I wanted something common like my twins name (Because kids kept on making fun of mine, and no one could ever pronounce it properly.) But I'm fine with it now!

As an AF, I can tell you that Asian mothers do this to ALL kids -- EA or not! Prettiest, smartest, most athletic, most obedient...
NOBODY IS SPARED.
I'm only glad I never had a sister.
Now that I have an EA son. I sometimes get comments from relatives such as:
"Your second-cousin has an EA kid that's so plain looking. Arn't all EA's cute like your son?"
That's when I just stare blankly and not say anything, so to end the conversation. Yeah. It's annoying. Even to non-EA's.
