I've noticed that the older I get the more Euro I look. I used to look a lot more Asian in my late teens. I don't know what it is exactly, maybe loss of baby fat in my face. My eyes are getting bigger and my nose seems more pronounced than it used to. It's not a huge difference, but I notice it. It's not like I went from looking totally Asian to looking all white or anything. I think I used to look like I was in the middle, but slightly leaning towards Asian. Now I look like I'm straight dab in the middle. Or maybe it's just my change of environment (I'm around a lot of full Asians these days, so maybe my own Asianness is looking diminished in comparison).
So, have you noticed this in yourself at all or am I on crack?

I totally agree. I was actually going to start a thread about this but used up my pics in the "10 years ago" thread. I think perhaps that europeans/whites generally have longer faces and thinner lips. Usually with age our skull structure continues to grow including cartilege so probably what happens is an altering of proportions which changes in things like facial width, nose size and jawline silhouette. The noses and jawline becoming more pronounced could do that.

Interesting thread. As my daughter is only 20 months old, I can't really offer much. I will say her white relatives think she looks Asian, and her Asian relatives think she looks white. And catgirl....holy cow. That toddler pic of you.....I thought I was looking at a picture of CJ. Some resemblance there.

I would not say it is more Asian or more white look, but some changes -- I think that the skin tone drops -- for some people, their face gets more gaunt, for others it gets more puffy.
One thing for sure, your skin gets thinner and you lose colour -- both hair and skin.
I think that the transformation was most major from birth to age 21. About the same people mistake for different things as they did when I was half my age. However, I moved from the USA to Asia -- so, on a daily basis, I will run into Asians who say I look "foreign" looking -- in HK the first choices are British or Portuguese (but still get a significant percentage that say I look Asian looking -- I really have no way to predict how people will react). Still, when I meet white Americans NOW, 70-80% refuse to believe that I am American -- about the same percentage as when I was half my age.
So, I get a slightly higher proportion of people saying that I look more Euro looking, but it might be simply because I am in Asia and not in America. In America, I get more people mistake me for Hispanic than in Asia, maybe because most Asians are not accustomed to dividing people into "Hispanic".
2 years ago, someone in HK came up to me and spoke in Spanish. Freaked me out at first. The guy turned out to be from Venezuela and could not speak English or Chinese. I tried my best to help him. My colleagues teased me "he thought he ran into a fellow countryman".

I think I look a lot more asian now compared to when I was a kid and teen. I'm not so gaunt now and have a habit of coloring my hair dark.

It's probably true for me.
maybe it has something to do with the features on the face which never really stop growing like the nose and ears?

I noticed a lot of features that people point out on me that seem to make me look asian in their eyes are actually from my dad and not my mom and my dad does not look asian at all I always thought that was funny because they say my almond shaped eyes give it away that I'm half asian but they are my dads eyes, my moms eyes are completely different. Or my face shape and structure but my dad is the one with the round face my mom has a a very heart shaped face.

I guess I looked more asian when I was a young child (1-3 years), after that I looked more latina (even though Im not). Over the years most people have assumed Im from Southern Amerika or Spain. Its just the way it is...
