Haha - yes, im speaking from experience as a funny looking whatever right here!!
Seriously though, its something that i do find annoying. Like how im just that funny looking kid sitting at the back of the class until my mum turns up, and then everyone wants to get to know you a little bit better.
There were these bunch of eurasian snobs in my class during college, you know the holier than thou type. Well i was one of the untouchables until dear ol' mum puts in an appearance, and lo and behold, i was honoured to be spoken to by one of said upper class royalty.
Maybe i ought to bring my mum along whenever i go out or meet new people.
She could sit in a corner and wait,(will buy her a magazine and a drink) and if ever i am having diffculties having a conversation with people, or when they realise that YES, i AM that boring, i can play the trump card.
"Oh by the way, this is my mum".
Then she can pull up a chair, and they can talk to each other while I can give winning smiles at all the right moments (will practice at home with mum to get this perfect).
Who says your socially retarded when you have the mum card!!
Tangent Tim strikes again!!!

She is white. I may or may not have major self esteem issues.

LOL! My mother had plenty of friends who would spout that nonsense. I mentioned in a thread when I first joined that one of my Korean-American coworkers was dating this caucasian guy and told me how I should get one too so I could have beautiful eurasian kids. I had to break it to her that I was Eurasian. And unfortunately I do not look like Lana Lang from Smallville. I'm a Eurasian who just happens to look like an Asian monoracial. Should have seen the shock and disappointment on her face. Sorry future moms of Eurasians but there is no guarantee. Your Eurasian kid might end up looking more Asian than you! Oo. cool, cool. Maybe its an asian thing? Particularly amongst mothers of eurasians? I once was in the car with this lovely lady who has eurasian kids as well, and on the journey (which took about an hour) i was briefed on the wonders of being eurasian - ranging from how eurasian kids were better looking, more intelligent and also had superior immune systems. I hadnt the heart to tell her i was eurasian as well and destroy her lovingly-crafted imagination.

I've never heard the thing that all EA's are beautiful. I've seen alot of ugly mixed kids in my time in HK, probably due to an ugly Mum or Dad. My son is mixed (White and Chinese). My wife's family were more concerned if he'd be tall or short like Mummy...

I know the feeling... I always get comments when it comes up that Im eurasian. Like" your mum must have had strong genes" or "are you joking" The last thing I remember was when we first started school over here, and my friend mentioned to some girls me as the girl who was "half asian" in our class. And they didnt know who she was talking about, cause there was no such girl in our class. And she said it was me and they just looked shocked as usual. Its weird, cause I think I look a little eurasian, and so do people on this forum...

its nothing to be ashamed of to be eurasian at least when you go to asia u get everybody staring at u when u go into a mall or a department store and then if u wanna go to bars or nightclubs all the chicks cling on to you and then u can hav a good time like i did in pattaya and bangkok

And a friend I was sorta seeing long ago who was from singapore also had this notion. She got married to a white dude this year. Probably eager to make some goodlooking mixed babies. Most people just think I'm japanese. Asians and White and even EAs make ussually make that assumption. Black people on the other had, they can tell right away. They must have a white radar or something.

They must have a white radar or something. Aah yes same here...I guess. It's no big deal to be eurasian when you just look (more) asian, or asian at all, at least in Asia. And in Europe people (white Europeans, mostly) will just say that at least people won't look at you in Asia because you just look asian and basta - I hate when they say it, who do they think they are! I hate them all, ALL ;D
