I have too many favorites. How about if I post different times? This post I'll say 1939 Wuthering Heights w/Merle Oberon and Laurence Olivier. Such a mad, passionate, exhausting love affair. A film even a guy could love. i love this one too!i've always loved the book, and i really love this adaptation of it as well (unlike, say, the butchered Great Expectations w/Gwyneth Paltrow and Ethan Hawke .)

Gandhi - very long, but always fascinated me how this half naked man brought the mighty British Empire to its knees in the Indian subcontinent.
Elizabeth - great costumes, captivating (but historically questionable) story line, regal performances by Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush.

I really have many faves but I have always adored this one since I was little and I still do. I used to dream I would one day marry a eccentric candy maker with a wonderfully fantasy candy factory with little people doing whatever I say..... sigh....
