You beauty! I didn't know they were coming down. I'll want to see the side show for sure. If you hear anything about ticket sales let me know, and I you! Kings of Leon too- Damn, I'm giving back to the music industry this summer! I've added another gig to my list, I now have tickets to Muse - Nov 17 Sufjan Stevens - Jan 14 Interpol - Feb 21 Yes, that's right, 4th row seats at the state theatre for Sufjan Stevens. To say I am excited would be quite the understatement. And of course the possibles are now: Arcade Fire Kings of Leon Good stuff haha, you got my back, I got yours!

I cannot wait for Radiohead to tour next year. They've been on my list of bands to see for ages, so it's about time that I finally get to see them in concert. I have a feeling I'll have to see them at a big festival, though. I keep swearing those off....

I'm looking forward to seeing The Expendables and Mars Volta in the next couple of weeks. And maybe DJ Shadow / Cut Chemist. Not sure about the electronic-scene anymore...
getting dragged to a bluegrass band tomorrow night. and by "dragged" i mean i've already laid out my overalls and straw hat.

do post a picture of that, kadude.
as for EA musicians, still haven't been able to see Karen O in action, sadly, but her band's definitely on my list of bands I need to see before they stop touring/break up/get s***ty.

hahaha Opera House steps/forecourt I got the ticket through an inside contact *wink* *wink*. Still $125 though! Sufjan was fantastic. Lots of banter from him as well which surprised me a great deal. He is quite bizarrely eccentric lol. No photos though, it was too civilised, sitting in the state theatre, sipping red wine, I didn't think the flash would go down to well with the rest of the audience

Bjork was amazing. Seriously. I have vids on my phone but they turned out awful. I thought she cut it a bit short for my liking, but the setting (Opera House forecourt), the weather, the show, everything was just incredible. If you like Bjork, you must see her live. I was aghast to see that she was booed on the gold coast coming on after Rage Against the Machine. I mean, I'm not totally surprised. Very poor organisation. One thing though, she finished the act with 'Declare Independance' which was awesome, but she started it by dedicating it to the indigenous people of Australia. Nice thought, however I'd like to know exactly what she understands / knows of the history when she digs in like that.

Haven't actually seen the show yet, but this video opens the DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist Hard Sell show www.youtube.com/watch?v=je1QjRbDu1EWrist-cams. Oh snap they're wearing wrist-cams. Also saw The Expendables last week. They played a lot of punk and not enough dub. Next up, eek-a-mouse...and fingers crossed for sxsw

dj shadow and cut chemist show was entertaining - crazy visuals and some innovative gimmicks like the "wrist-cams" or the guitar/turntable - but otherwise their set was uninspiring. dj kid koala, the opening act, however, was dope. he was quite scientifical on the 1s and 2s.
Pepper tomorrow night!
