Everywhere I go people think I'm japanese! Even the japanese tourists in Thailand talked to me in japanese at first. I also get a lot of people asking me for directions in Chinese and Korean. I feel kinda useless when I can't help them. I never got anyone ask directions from me in german.

^I believe it is incorrect when people say that Spanish-Europeans are not Hispanic, because Hispanic people are those who descended from what was once known as the geographical region of Hispania (modern Spain, Portugal and Andorra). Where do people think such languages originated from?
It's similar to when people say that the Italians, Spanish etc are not Latin. The original Latin people were from Italy, and as time progressed, the people spread out to occupy Spain, Romania, Portugal etc and hence developed into speaking languages that linguistically evolved from the Latin language (these are the same countries known as having the true romance languages).

However to call South America "Latin" America is misleading as South America is a land occupied by African, and lets not forget the Indigenous people. North American isn't called Anglosaxon America. That would just be silly and rude.

So whats the difference between hispanic and spanish-european. I think many look the same? Hispanic is the superset (assuming that you are referring to ethnicity)... Hispanic people may actually be of any race. Hispanic, as I've come to understand the term in America, is basically this (from the U.S. Census Bureau): "Definition: Hispanics or Latinos are those people who classified themselves in one of the specific Spanish, Hispanic, or Latino categories listed on the Census 2000 questionnaire -"Mexican, Mexican Am., Chicano," "Puerto Rican", or "Cuban" -as well as those who indicate that they are "other Spanish/Hispanic/Latino." Persons who indicated that they are "other Spanish/Hispanic/Latino" include those whose origins are from Spain, the Spanish-speaking countries of Central or South America, the Dominican Republic or people identifying themselves generally as Spanish, Spanish-American, Hispanic, Hispano, Latino, and so on. Origin can be viewed as the heritage, nationality group, lineage, or country of birth of the person or the person's parents or ancestors before their arrival in the United States. People who identify their origin as Spanish, Hispanic, or Latino may be of any race. Thus, the percent Hispanic should not be added to percentages for racial categories. Tallies that show race categories for Hispanics and non-Hispanics separately are available." Anyhow, here are some examples of Hispanic people: The infamous Christian von Wernich of Argentina Keiko Sofía Fujimori of Peru Hugo Chavez of Venezuela David Ortiz of the Dominican Republic (Go Red Sox!)

So many voted for looking more asian, I don't believe the majority of halfies look more asian. But if you live in european countries/ america of course you'll find yourself more asian looking. But I find myself 50/50.

To ignorant people, I just look asian, no questions asked. But for most people, I look asian yet not asian at the same time if that makes any sense. Meaning, I have distinct asian features but other certain non-asian features.

In the beginning I also wondered if John Leguizamo was EA! ;D I've seen many mexicans who could easily pass as south east asians, maybe that is why many people there thought that I was a local mexican girl but some people said "you're not from here, I can tell by your eyes" lol
