does anyone here self-tan regularly? i'm considering doing my legs because they're ridiculously pasty compared to my upper body, but it's such a pain in the ass.

I've made a few half-assed attemps in the past, but was usually too lazy to keep it up. I'd advise you stay away from the Jergens Natural Glow stuff, it stinks a LOT and after using it for a while it seemed to settle into my pores which resulted in not so nice orange dots. I've read reviews from other people who had this happen to them as well.

if you must self tan, i suggest using estee lauder. make sure it is tinted. but honestly, it smells like dung. i'd just go book a few sessions over at a tanning salon to even out my tan. you could apply sun tan lotion on just the areas that need touching up on and sunblock to block out the other areas you don't want changing color. well not until your legs catch up with the rest of your body anyway. spray tans would be the easiest.... but all that self tanning crap irks me because it will start to come off / rub off. i've tried them in the past as a quick fix for a few occassions. does anyone here self-tan regularly? i'm considering doing my legs because they're ridiculously pasty compared to my upper body, but it's such a pain in the ass.

Yeah, Jergens is not so hot. The Dove stuff I've found to be semi decent. If you're out in the sun already and put some on it kinda helps prevent sunburn too I've noticed. And if you add it to an already semi-tan, it'll 'deepen' it. I also think it smells just fine, but I guess that's a bit subjective... The Jergens stuff smells a bit narsty.

i have never tried the self tan stuff, it seems too messy and i'd probably end up uneven/streaky.
when i feel pasty, i just book a holiday to a sunny place, ala Malaysia this weekend, to top up the tan. .. haha. i keed, if only i could be that extravagant!

my work sells this Neostrata self tanning stuff that is supposed to be the s***. It's a bit pricey, but gets rave reviews and we sell lots of it.

exactly, helles. the tricky part is applying it on areas such as the hands and feet. as for streaks, easily avoidable if you just exfoliate properly beforehand and purchase a TINTED self tanner. and majority of the self tanners out there smell unpleasant. tolerable smelly but still smelly. i think i've smelled the dior one before... that one may be ok. forgot. i say tanning salon! only use self tanners as a last resort.

girly question... i cut off 10 inches of my hair in april in order to be able to donate it to locksoflove.
how long does it take you ladies for your hair to grow out? mine sprouts back rather quickly but i miss the length and am getting rather impatient. it used to be almost down to my booty ... but i'd like for it to grow back 3-4 inches below the chest area [my ideal].

thats a lot of hair!!
my hair grows quite slowly, i get a trim every 2-3 months. i sometimes feel like cutting it short just to get rid of all the damage and let it start from scratch again, but i dont have the guts to go short cos i know i'll end up with this poofy mane!

celltocell, anytime you miss your hair just think about how much you rock for donating it. ;D i never notice how fast my hair grows.i cut a fw inches and freak out and then before i know it it's long again, but i completely space the interval between those two things. funny about the jergens self-tanner,i've heard such good things.i actually had a container of L'Oreal sublime bronze that i'd used before with good results,i decided to live dangerously and went for it.i'm wryly awaiting the results since i didn't exfoliate as painstakingly as i would have if i'd planned it and the bottle says the product is best used w/in 6 months and it's been more than a year.but it smells really nice. edit:so,if it says 'use within 6 mos',you should pay attention.i have oompa loompa legs.

Kind of random, but I just applied to work at a tanning salon and I have absolutely no clue about tanning products. I'm thinking of dying my hair and I would like to go lighter but I'm so use to my dark dark brown. :/ I'm not sure if it would look right.
