I never use conditioner. I find it's too basic and makes my hair fall out, it makes the strands oily, and completely limp. When applied it shouldn't ever touch your scalp or roots.

Define trailer trash? It seems a lot of snotty people I've run into favour using that term. our 'chav' look basically comprises of burberry caps (or von dutch hats), excessive vulgar gold jewellery, going way OTT on latest fashion trend or britney spears' casual look.

When applied it shouldn't ever touch your scalp or roots. i've also heard you shouldnt conditioner your roots/scalp, but i find it almost impossible to do that, cos if your avoiding the roots at the back of your head, then you will miss out half the hair on the top of your head.. right? or am i totally missing this concept? i cant not use conditioner, my hair will dry and frizz out without it, and it feels really uncomfortable too.

Flip your head upside down and apply the conditioner directly to the ends up to a few inches from your scalp. When you're done flip it back and rinse it out.

I can definately see how it's necessary for hair of volume or curly hair. I use it maybe around once in two months.

i myself actually have been thinking about going red as well..hmm... update. so i went for the red. however, it didn't turn out as i wanted. it's not bad or anything, just mostly brown(my natural color) with a hint of red. it's only obvious in a certain light, like in these pix, which was how i wanted it to come out. *sigh* maybe next month or so, i'll give it another try.

I can still the the reddish parts of it, it looks nice! What kind of red were you really going for, more flame-y? I bought new legwarmers because I am nerdy. They're realll purdy pink ones with stars of different colours.... ;D Wish I had a digicam so I could post a few pics.

My boyfriend dyed my hair blue-black....I'm gonna kill myself Most people have said they liked it cos it "brings out my eyes and face" but I'm feeling a bit pale and pasty now I'm not allowed to touch it for at least 2 weeks apparently...until I've come out of shock!! Strangely it makes my hair look longer

I use so much hair conditioner!! Mainly cos my hair is curly and I have dyed it a lot. I can only brush my hair when it's wet too, so I need to "strenghten" my hair with conditioner. I once used Head and Shoulders cos there was no other Shampoo at my friend's house and it really irritated my scalp I couldn't stop itching it and it gave me flakey scalp. I use Aussie shampoo and Conditioner cos it smells so damn yummy PS Soleil I like your new hair colour!! I'm gonna go much lighter once I'm allowed to!

what kind of shampoo and conditioner are you using? i actually find it hard to pick what type of shampoo and conditioner to buy.. i cant decide if my hair needs 'for coloured, chemically damaged hair', 'greasy' or 'dry'.. hehe.. i need something for 'greasy roots and dry ends'.. but i havent seen any in the shops yet! also, i put so much gunk in my hair after i shampoo - straigtening balm, frizz stuff.. but i dunno if they actually work, or im using the wrong products, cos if i dont use them, my hair is almost exactly the same..
