I really understand where you're coming from about the pinapples. I can't eat eggs unless I make them myself or if I'm really confident in the person who is preparing them for me because I have a fear of eggshells. If I happen to bite down on the smallest piece of one I'll be anxious and sick for the rest of the day. I have to crack eggs one by one into a clear glass bowl and inspect it before cooking with it, and I never eat scrabled eggs for fear of hidden pieces.
I can't handle styrofoam. I can't touch it, hear it... I don't even like to look at it. It makes me ill.
I pick up accents unconsciously. I think my "base" accent is your standard southern-lite, but even 5 minutes of talking to someone with a different accent will cause me to start taking on their accent. I have to keep myself aware of this so people don't think I'm mocking them.

I am still on a hunt to get pink star shaped earrings like the ones Jem and the Hollograms use to wear

i sure hope i don't make a habit out of this. at the same time that i found it a bit funny(heck, the lady was laughing about it herself), i did feel kinda bad. so i've been interning with some interpreters/SSPs(Support Service Providers) at this center for the blind, where we work with/assist some deaf-blinds. apparently the deaf-blinds had heard of some new technology that would cater to their tactile needs and were interested in finding out more about it. next door is a center for the deaf, where they occasionally have such new devices come in(or info for such devices), so me and two interpreters/SSPs i was there with each guided one of 3 deaf-blinds on our walk to nextdoor. so i'm walking side-to-side with this elderly deaf-blind woman holding onto my hand/arm and that was fine until we walked thru this somewhat narrow doorway, in which i didn't pull her behind me in time and she bumped into the side of the doorway after we arrived at the other center and went into the device room, i brought her over to have a seat in this chair, which happened to have arms. it wouldn't have been anything if the chair didn't have any arms, but she ended up sitting on one of the arms and falling back smack into the chair she giggled and shrugged off both cases like it was nothing, but i felt like such a lousy guide

Like swordcane i cant stand styrofoam. It makes me sick. Ohh and I like giving dolls, stuffed animals and plants their own name. I have a few monkey plushies ( I like monkeys) and they are called Kiki, Mimi, pipi, fifi, didi and I forget the rest LOL I also had a cactus plant and I named it cacty. I had have a pear plant I grew by planting a pip from one i ate. I think its name was pipsie or something like that.

-I have an oral fixation, plastic in my vicinity (particularly pens) will not infrequently find its way to my mouth. [embarrassing, lame]
- I actually enjoy reading books. [nerdo, lame?]
- A good third of the time, if nothing is happening, I'll be humming or singing a song - often in an ironically theatrical way [totally awesome, but some find it embarrassing/lame]
Hmm, other than that I'm completely the coolest.

Yeah I'm sure all of us find pleasure in odd things.
I use my metre ruler as a sword somethimes, try to imitate those shaolin artists.
Sometimes, when I can't sleep and feel really lonely in the middle of the night... I sing (in whispers) to myself. I guess that's a comforting thing... at least I never sucked my thumbs.
I slap the desk to a beat when I'm bored. It livens things up for me, but others (like teachers) might find it annoying.
I always like to sit on the highest seat in the bus... the seats right between the very back and the middle...not the seats at the front.

- I actually enjoy reading books. [nerdo, lame?] No, I deem thee cool for that very reason. ;D Or, maybe it's because I don't want to feel alone in my nerdiness. Seriously, though, past teenage years, I hardly think people consider enjoying reading as lame. If anything, I'm sure a lot of people will refrain from saying they think reading is nerdy at the risk of THEM appearing lame/uneducated.

I think you've managed the lame, nerdo, embarrassing trifecta on this one. props.

Sorry VLR, I think Zoff just upped the ante. I can't think of how you're going to top it.

The only way I could top that is by making petri-dish babies of fantasy fiction characters.... and I'm not THAT much of a nerd!

One would think that advanced years would make someone more lame than a younger person but that's not always the case. You only need to note the increasing numbers of young emos to see that lameness is not restricted to older peoples such as yourself.
