I used to get sleep paralysis quite often. In most cases, I was unable to move while having the feeling that some mysterious force was crushing me onto the bed. At times I SAW that my body was in levitation and spinning non-stop while paralysed. The female equivalent of an Incubus is the Succubus and she/it rapes males in their sleep. Honestly sleep paralysis is terrifying. One explanation given is that you've gained consciousness while the parts of your brain that are responsible for movement are still asleep. So it's not a dream, it feels damn REAL. In addition, this most unpleasant sensation of being the prey of 'something' is accentuated as you are semi-conscious and unable to think properly. Terrifying I tells ya! and this could happen several times during the night. I heard one way to snap out of it is to blink. Quite interesting. Apparently you can get hallucinations too. That would explain the levitation and spinning thing. We should start threads about lucid dreaming and astral projections too... Would be interesting to hear other people's experiences.

Sometimes I get dreams where I'm falling, and when I hit the ground...I wake up. I once had this dream where I was about to be executed (by hanging). The rope was around my neck and when they dropped me, that's when I woke up. It's kind of ironic, because death = sleep, but when I died in my dream, I stopped sleeping. EDIT:We should start threads about lucid dreaming and astral projections too... Would be interesting to hear other people's experiences. I've always wanted to do lucid dreaming! But it's really hard because you have to know that you're dreaming WHILE you're having a dream (so you can control it). But whenever I realize I'm dreaming I just wake up Lucid dreaming means controlling your dreams

I got sleep paralysis once... holy snap that was scary... one of my classmates (in my dream, of course!) sent the Grim Reaper after me or something that had a LOT of chains. Then I woke up paralyzed and I still heard the chains. Sooo creepy... I never bother with lucid dreaming... but one thing I used to do as a kid I can't do now. When anyone was younger, could they wake themselves out of a bad dream? I remember when I had bad dreams, I'd somehow force my eyes open and I'd wake up. That was so weird...

I used to have a lot of lucid dreams when I was a kid. Not so many these days and I've also got less control.

Yeah sleep paralysis very very scary but its better now I know some things about it and I find it interesting anyway. I still have lucid dreams! I will probably grow out of it though sooner or later.
I have dreams where I die too Cristobal, about two weeks ago I was dreaming and my sister, a few friends and I were driving to this other part of town that looks all dark and evil. we stopped when we got there and there was this wierdo guy after us, so we got back into the car and we tried to lock ourselves in but somehow the wierdo guy got in. He had a knife and we were all horrified, but we didnt try to get away. He said to me "Spell your friends name, if you get it wrong, you die". I was like wtf.. And then I attempt to spell out this really wierd name and, what do ya know I get it wrong. THEN He gets his knife and slits my throat and I could actually feel the blood and everything. It felt kinda wierd.. and it hurt so much and as I was dying everything started to go dark and just before I passed away In my withering voice I said "I.. ughhh love ..you.., to My twin. err and that was the last thing I said in my dream and then I woke up! Lol

My dreams have been forgettable lately, the last one i remember was about visiting an open-plan zoo where all the animals wandered freely. Some penguins tried to follow me to the exit and andrew johns the footy player appeared and told me they need to be thrown down a "repatriation chute" so as to not risk them learning the way out.
I think it was the painkillers...

e.g., "Hey guys, here's an impression of Stephen Hawkings in a falling elevator"
*sits contorted in chair with disfigured mouth*
and "hey, here's Stephen Hawkings just before the Tsunami hit"
*sits contorted in chair with disfigured mouth*

I was standing there, staring at this horribly disfigured man (burn victim) while drinking coffee. A grasshopper appeared to be drowning in my coffee, so I scooped it out with my fingers cupped and set it on the ground - thus scalding my fingertips. The man offered to suck on them til they felt better. I told him to go to hell. He told me to go to the library, that "hell" wasn't a word. I said "Yes it is." He said "No it's not." I said "Yuh-huh." He said "Nuh-uh." I kicked him in the shin and walked away.
My dreams are sooo intellectual, aren't they?

I'm feeling rather ragged. I'm feeling rather rough. I'm looking like I stayed up late, and didn't sleep enough.
I went to sleep at bedtime and dreamt all through the night, but when I woke this morning I was feeling far from right.
For though I drifted quickly, and slumbered long and deep, I'm totally exhausted 'cause I dreamed I couldn't sleep!

last one i can remember is walking down some street nearby where i live. it was crowded for some reason and i walked past freddy krueger and looked back and he was staring back at me, then started chasing me. so i started to jet and it was freaky as hell. i remember jus trying to wake up and i did. really weird that i could actually make myself wake up on demand. o and about the sleep paralysis stuff, im glad ive never experienced sth like that. but friends tell me it happens to them when theyre extremely tired. and on a side note, i also seem to have a lot of dreams where im either driving like a maniac or a complete idiot, or maybe thats jus reality?

It was sort of like the holocaust. These people on a giant cruise/ship thing came and like took everyone from my school. To get onto the ship we had to get through this fence and those who couldn't were shot. Our parents didn't know where we were. No one did. Passing through this quiet town (yes, the ship can also travel on land), we tried to sneak out and seek help. We saw this one lady but we never had time to tell her because we had to be careful not to get caught sneaking out and dobbing the baddies in. Even if she did know, I don't think there was a lot she could do.

OH MY GOD. I just had to bring this thread back up. I need to stay away from this site. People from this site have been in my dreams lately. Last night it was Quan (Qomix)...we were in the woods and he took me to a place that was presumably his house. It was weird cause it was a house in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing but trees and woods...and..and i think he was plotting to kill me. I dont know. But funnily enough...the dream turned out okay. Maybe i woke up early enough not see what was going to happen. But the night before that....Telliecoin and Iver were in my dream. I was stuck in an elevator with them but the building was collapsing. So we had to rush out of it and funnily enough the crack doors led open to jungle leaves. It was scary. Baahahaha. Oh my...i wonder which EANER will be in my next dream. ...i hope it doesnt turn out to be a nightmare.
