Sooooo sick! I love your choice of cars. If I'd ever go with a muscle car, I would get a Cuda in a heart beat. Sweet truck. Here's my grocery-getter:

welll unlike a few of you guys I'm from a poor middle class family.... I don't think it has anything to do with rich or poor. Families can be affluent and still have the common sense not to give their child an $80'000 car. I'm stereotyping, but I have rich cousins / family friends my age who really do not understand the value of money as they have had everything provided for them from an early age. I think it has affected them detrimentally - some of them really have no impetus to do anything with their lives. When I was a student I had this car: My friends called it the "Fridge on Wheels". Sooo boxy and white. But it got me from A to B. After I worked for a few years in Japan I bought this: (not my photo but the car is identical) And now I'm saving up for one of these:

fable: is that a prototype or do they actually sell those? it looks very 'lotus-y' (in a good way) but the normal carrera looks better.

I don't think it has anything to do with rich or poor. Families can be affluent and still have the common sense not to give their child an $80'000 car. oh, you're wrong, I know the value of money and how hard my parents worked. Besides, its just a second hand car that i have (got it around RM95,000, if converted to $ how much?), and i worked my butt off part time to get extra money and modified the car and re-sprayed the whole thing, thats what you have to do if u cant afford a high performance ride, and the only reason why my parents thought i deserved it is because they can't afford sending me overseas to study. And I'm still working part-time as a kindergarten teacher. So please, don't try to embarass me here with your comment.

^as a general rule YF is right, however there are exceptions alright. It's "just" a second hand car? did your parents buy it second hand before they gave it to you? not to drag this too far into the muck, but from what you just said, if they are willing to splash on the car on the one hand, but are unable to afford you the education they thought you deserved overseas...then, well the issues of prioritising with money still stands unabated.
