truck drivers (like me) are no better. i've always wanted a truck, but never could figure out what to put in the back of it. surely i'm not the only one who loads them up with gravel, dirt and a few shovels just to play the part! at least i hope i'm not. Come on Rob, get some stuff in the back of your truck! Oh and be sure to use a tarp, like I do. Can you see the dead bodies back there? Genius! note: I am a little perturbed that the new Tacomas are as big as my Tundra. Whassapwiddat?

big cars, hot cars, fast cars, giant trucks are compensatory for a guy's package....blah blah blah
That's just something losers say. Just like when someone says true beauty is on the inside, well the only people who say that are the ugly. Or when you hear someone say he doesn't judge his wealth by the size of his wallet, that's a poor guy.

I have an '05 Rx-8 which I don't have with me at the moment because I'm putting turbo on it. Will post photos when I can.
What's wrong with big trucks? I have one only because I like to go off roading. Plus it makes me feel almighty, so I can bitch other petty little drivers around on the road ;D

isn't the idea of big cars to make your dick look bigger? women certainly used to stare when I put my Skyline R33 down my pants. YF, was your Skyline a GTR variant? I have an '05 Rx-8 which I don't have with me at the moment because I'm putting turbo on it. Will post photos when I can. RX7 + 20B FTW! ;D I've got a driving license but unfortunately I don't have a car! I'll be looking around for a job soon where I hope to own a first or second generation MX5 sometime in the future

I'm spoilt... but now I really can't go to an OUT OF STATE college!! Egh!! Don't even try to suggest an out of country college, haha. This is my car [dad uses it too, but I have it most of the time] but mine is Dark Green... 2001 Mazda Protege ES... second hand. I'm perfectly content.

if this were covered in dirt,it would be my car: mud.mm-a5.yimg.com/image/1438124937got a great deal on it since we bought it from my bf's brother, except now we're screwed because the valves are burnt and it'll cost almost 3 times what we paid for it to fix. and on the topic of first cars, this was mine: mud.mm-a6.yimg.com/image/2285326123except it was emerald green, inside and out.my mom paid $800 for it and i paid her back.

I dont even know why, because these are old cars, but some of those well kept 80s SL's are brilliant (better looking than the ones made today IMO, except maybe SLKs which look alright)..maybe because they look classic or something..(the convertables look better though) image.www.rakuten.co.jp/parnass/img10562012210.jpegand of course, oh yeh, these are "dream" rides i'm speaking of here (i do not own either!)...perhaps not hte best place to post eh? i'm out.

and of course, Isn't that the car in Ferris Bueller's Day Off? The 1961 Ferrari, two-fifty GT California. Less than a hundred were made. My father spent three years restoring this car. It is his love, it is his passion . . ....and that is a Jag.

fable: is that a prototype or do they actually sell those? it looks very 'lotus-y' (in a good way) but the normal carrera looks better. Carrera-GT is the real deal. most porsche dealers (at least in the N America) got an allocation of 1 each, so once the dealers put in their 3-4,000km in, they'll start popping back up on the market. As for looks, I think its the most beautiful car ever made. hands down. What's your pick then? although I am rather cynical about SUV's (why does one need a 2500Kg tool to move a 70kg person?) truck drivers (like me) are no better. i've always wanted a truck, but never could figure out what to put in the back of it. surely i'm not the only one who loads them up with gravel, dirt and a few shovels just to play the part! at least i hope i'm not. The Carrera GT is in my top 3 favorite cars of all time. My car fanatic friend has one, he is one lucky man.

Interesting/funny thread!
I still have my first car that I bought at 16 years old (now 23) and I have no problems with it being uncool. My grandfather offered to buy it for me at the time, but my father felt it was a good thing for me to save and buy it on my own accord.
There is a sense of pride knowing you bought your own car, but that's just my experience...

There is a sense of pride knowing you bought your own car, but that's just my experience... True, my car is the most expensive and valuable thing I own, there's a certain pride that comes with that, and knowing all those years of stacking shelves after school would pay off somehow.
