I think mine's a pretty mainstream Sydney/Central Coast accent for the most part. But on occasion I do give up evidence in certain inflections, inconsistantly. Just a few scars of having been around the block Perhaps a fun tilt on this thread would be to get members to post up a little audio clip each of a sentence or two. Even if it is a couple of lines of Shakespeare tailored with your own unique sound

Australian, someone once told me that different states of Australia sound a bit different and that they can tell what state they are from when they speak.. Does anyone else know about this???
When I go overseas my uncle says he can't understand me because of my accent..

well as far as I know, my relatives from adelaide all sound like they are from New Zealand. Apparantly its because they are posh and went to the correct boarding schools. AHAHAH.
I just have a normal australian accent I would say

Jersey accent.
No, I do not say Joi-sey. NO ONE SAYS THAT. Except maybe those filthy people in the part of Jersey that thinks it's part of Pennsylvania and the people all lie and say they're from "outside Philly". f**king American equivalent of chavs, those people.
Jersey accent is standard Northeast American (excluding Boston jibberish and any reference to something being "wicked piss-ah"), but with f**k used every other word or f**k or some form of f**k used interchangably with any word, be it noun, verb or adjective.

Thankyou.
