I was wondering if anyone has tried any Asian fast food. Have you ever eaten anything from such restaurants? The most famous one is probably Jollibee (Filipino). In the U.S. we have Mr. Chau's (Chinese). And Yoshinoya (from Japan) is also Asian fast food, if I'm not mistaken. EDIT:^Sample menu from Jollibee

Yoshinoya s more of a regular restaurant except it specializes in fast service...didn t u mean junk food by fast food ? like hamburgers type of thing ?cuz if we re talking food chains w/ fast service , there s also Noodi noodle bar in Thailand, S&P, Daidomon i guess....not that fast but still an asian food chain, Fuji, and that ramen restaurant that serves you the food the minute you order it ! ^^

We have YO! Sushi in the UK. YO! Sushi is the UK's leading conveyor belt sushi chain and is the franchisor for YO! Sushi in the Middle East and YO! restaurants in France. They also do soups, noodles and other hot dishes! Hmmm I´m hungry after looking at their menu. Brainwashedwww.yosushi.com/files/menu_restaurant.pdf

There is quite a lot of 'fast food' places in HK.. even when they arent supposed to be; some places at lunch serve the food quickly and expect you to eat quickly at get out.. most noodle places are fast food places too.
There is also Yoshinoya here, but I find it tooo salty.

Kind of OT, but I find it particularly unacceptable to put ketchup on spaghetti in lieu of tomato sauce. In that first picture the spaghetti sauce looked a little questionable to me. And they do this in Japan alot too I understand. Ugh. I know, I know. It's all made from tomatos.. but just. No. I strongly object.
There's a chain called "Sushi-Tei" in Manhattan that is essentially fast food Japanese style. Pretty good too. They'll pop a bento in the microwave and then send you on your merry way.

And rightly so, tomato ketchup is full of sugar (& sh*t), may as well be eating jam on spaghetti. - - - - - Wagamama’s in London/UK is quite good. They also claim to be ‘healthier’ than your average restaurant/takeout. (Mostly noodles etc) www.wagamama.com

this one's with stewed leaves (a bit like spinach) & hot pepper: just €1!!!!!!!! ahh takana - my favourite type of onigiri. Sadly, since takana is more of a kyushu thing, you don't find that variety so readily available in Tokyo. As someone who has very little time to eat lunch, my usual lunch is some type of Japanese fast food. A lot of people have mentioned yoshinoya, and there are a few different chains of that kind of food outlet in Japan. I'd rate yoshinoya quite low - for gyudon the best place for me is "sukiya" Sukiya menu: www.zensho.com/menu/Their gyudon tastes way better than yoshinoya's. A good place for take-away-only food is hokka hokka tei, but again you don't see them too often in Tokyo - more of a southern Japan thing. I love it because it's cheap, there is good variety and thy cook stuff quickly: www.hokkahokkatei.com/kyushu/menu/index.htmlLastly, if I feel like eating meat I always head to Pepper Lunch for Japanese-style steak. Cheap and quick - some places have a rule that they will bring your food within 3 minutes (they can do this because the steak actually cooks on a mini hot plate in front of you): www.pepperlunch.com/html/menu.html
