I have to say in my old age I've become a bit of a nazi about my yard, knowingly engaging in unspoken and unofficial competitions with a select few neighbors whose efforts of maintaining the greenest, plushest lawn rival my own. Anyway, this is spilling over into plants. I have in the center of my front yard a Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, which, I believe, is the only flowering bush that has pedals that change colors: from dark purple, to light purple, to white, then they fall off. Surrounding this (it's in a circular planter) is a nicely kept and orderly arrangement of Impatiens, only white and purple, to match the blooms of the YTT when it does bloom.
I also planted a hedge on one side of my front yard out of viburnum, b/c I think that is the thickest, most wall-like that do well in Florida. On the other side of my yard, on the left and right sides of my driveway, I have two jasmine beds so things smell nice walking up to my front door. On that right side of my driveway, I have the climbing jasmine up a lattice structure (accompanying the ground jasmine) to hide my trash can from sight. Further down this side, in the actual yard, but not as far down as the viburnum hedge on the opposite side, I have a semi-hedge but more of a cluster of azaleas that need to be trimmed up. Filling the space beneath these azaleas are boston fern, which really looks pretty as it skirts seeing all the branches and twigs that makeup the lower part of the azaela bushes.

^Sounds like a gorgeous frontyard. It's so funny how "house pride" can make people crazy. I LOVE jasmines and azaleas. Now how much of this do you actually maintain?

Beautiful pictures, I'malady. I especially love what you've done with the pots. How do you clean the new fountain? The pump has a filter you can change every so often and there is a water cleaning solution that you can put a few drops once a month to get rid of any algee or that slime build up.

I love it. Also, I'll post a picture of the adopted money plant I found randomly a few weeks ago soon.

Well I don't find it that demanding to keep up. The viburnum hedge doesn't need trimmed all that often, but I should do it more regularly than I have been just to keep it well edged I suppose. The Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow (do you know what this is?) requires very little trimming. The azaelas definitely need to be groomed, but not regularly. The jasmine is pretty new, so it's not out of control yet. The impatiens are the most annoying ones that I always end up replacing instead of cutting them down and letting them grow again. But each month I have a fertilizing service nourish everything. So, really it's just mowing the lawn, edging the driveway, linetrimming....and watering the plants.

Look what came to say hi to me yesterday in my garden it's so cute, just a baby, size of my hand to cute I could squeeze it all day ;D There are some bunnies that live around my block, I know where they live 2 houses down from me but they always chill out in my back yard. They don't bother my plants at all which is nice. It's really cute to see them grow up, one large that I see a lot was just a baby last spring now he's huge. Everybody calls me Snow White because animals are always following me or around me or where I live although I live in the city. A couple times I have had deer come right up to my car and just stare at me right next to my window and I'm not near a forest or anything like that.... weird.

^^The other day I had to avoid those crazies. They like to run in front of your headlights. I guess it's springtime. I think there are a bunch of varieties roaming around the backcountry.

Cute. We have lots of squirrels here and cayotes. Not so many bunnies. A black bear was sunning itself on my neighbour's porch the other day, just outside their front door.

I live in the city so I'm surprised that we have bunnies. The squirrels here give me the finger everyday, they are such aholes. I can't even scare them away they run after me if I try to scare them away then I'm running away screaming.
