I see a trend for men to like high-maintenance, kinda dumb but sorta clever dominant women - most of all the nice guys tend to like 'em. - Don't put the cart before the horse. 87 replies to the "Men suck" thread versus 69 replies to the "Women suck" thread prove that men suck MORE. Take that biatch! Typical woman logic. - To be fair, this is typical male logic... or is it that logic is typically male? edit:

I think you're right on the money here. Well, I know one girl who I just cant figure out, and i think she has that combo. She picks up dudes ALL THE TIME and goes through BF's like you woudlnt' believe. She's not good looking AT ALL, but a) she dresses up all the time and b) acts like a dumb f*** despite being a rhodes scholar and being inwardly dominant (esp career wise). shes' also currently dating a super hot EA dude. WTF. it's funny seeing the disparity in looks but dudes seem to dig her.

Hmm, I'd say this is most likely because women with this attitude tend to be good looking (which is why they can get away with it). If there was a choice between physically identical women, one being low maintenance, the other high; I'm sure most men would pick the low maintenance version. My point exactly! Clearly you're a man. To think that high maintenance is attractive in and of itself.... let's be serious.

It may seem uncharacteristically idealistic of me, but I think that if you're right for the person, the maintenance kind of does itself. That is to say that if you're in a relationship that's worth being in, you'll have an appreciation for things that your SO would already normally do without any special kind of motivation or effort and vice versa. A different kind of person might not be able to pull this off so easily because it's just not who they are. If you're struggling to keep up with their expectations, why bother trying so hard? Nobody will be able to keep that kind of effort up forever. If they can't keep up with your expectations, why not find somebody who can? If it's just a "you're hot, I'm hot, let's be hot together" kind of thing, then why not just be f**k buddies?
Of course, considering that I have absolutely no interest in, and therefore little experience with women who I consider to be "high maintenance", I'm pretty much speaking from a position of ignorance. There's such an abundance of attractive girls who aren't complete coonts that I just don't see the point in dealing with that sort of thing.
