My mother's hair is black and has blue eyes, very Irish. Why wasn't black hair a choice? Maybe it goes under brown (dark brown). Someone here said its not possible to have truly black hair

I just remembered another reason why my dad wouldnt care if she had blonde hair or not becasue she was bald at some point (because of Buddhism or however you spell that)
I prefer green eyes. even my mum wished her eyes were green instead of blue

I've always had the feeling my dad has a thing for Italian women, and my mom's looks put her into the "typical" Italian woman category. Brown hair, brown/hazel eyes, olive complexion, etc.

Interesting theory.. but my mom's got brown hair, green eyes.
Side note... are the EAs whose moms have blonde hair the ones that have that goregous sandy brown colour?? (think the kids from Jon & Kate plus 8 although they're only 1/4 anyways..) I think its adorable on kids!!

I know a couple of EAs with blonde mums (Half viet), but they all have the same hair colour as me more or less (dark brown), and my mother is a brunette. I think dark hair is dominant, although some say it is 50-50 (non-dominant trait). I dont know....

Hmm.. you know today I was looking through some old pics of me as a child.. and I never realized how light my hair was! Okay its not sandy brown .. but its definitely brown.. not dark brown-almost black.. I swear i thought it was that colour... I thikn it may have changed.. when I was a baby it was dark brown, then I think when i was a toddler - 8 maybe it was kind of medium (but definietly lighter than before brown) then I think it got darker after that.... weird!
I wonder what % of EAs roughly have light brownish or even blonde hair.. hmm genetics fasincates me! lol

In case you failed to notice this is a thread ABOUT looks. So really why the complaints?
If it annoys you that much you should take deep thoughts or rather angriness elsewhere perhaps to another thread that isnt so offensively superficial to you?

geezus christ. Do you people never stop talking about your looks. I agree with you. Some people here think they are all that - but I only see some bitterness on their posts ;D ;D ;D.

Me Ma's got Green Eyes and had Blond hair now its kinda mixed with light brown and grey. She likes to say "Everyone always talks about blue eyes but nobody says anything about green eyes" My dads a chemist any other scientist dads + white moms AKA David Suzuki theory. ha! my dad's a chemist, too! and yes, my mom had blonde hair when my parents met.

One more data-point to support your theory: My Dad is an ethnically South-East Asian Chinese English professor married to an ethnically English South-East Asian Studies professor who happens to have blond hair and blue eyes. But he always says he prefers brunettes as well - he says he hates the "dumb american blond" look.
My sister is dating a blond haired blue eyed dude so it will be interesting to see if the recessive genes get passed on if they get married and have kids. I'd be curious to see a sort of Asian looking kid with naturally blond hair for a change ;D

just had this theory that asian guys who go after white ladies will go for the blond haired, blue eyed types. I realize that a lot of our moms are going gray out there but I mean their colour before that. my dad's vietnamese, my mom's blonde-haired and blue eyed. my siblings are both blonde/blue as well, and i can't think of a less attractive pair of features in a girl. I adore my family, but blonde hair and blue eyes seriously remind me of them and it instantly grosses me out.

Very Asian features, but totally blonde long hair. Was a hit with the middle school girls
