Hands down, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. There are so many golden comedic moments in the film. I couldn't stop laughing.

I didn't get a chance to read Jacqueline Susann's book, but I want to! Cult classic.

For a moment, I thought, "What? There was a sequel to Valley of the Dolls (the book)?" I read the book too and loved it. Any of you saw the original Valley of the Dolls? I can imagine it leading to some pretty comical moments. Then again, if Beyond the Valley of the Dolls was revised as a spoof, it must be quite a hoot.

I am totally going to add Valley of the Dolls to my summer reads! Thanks gals!
I did see the original film and it was interesting. Beyond the Valley of the Dolls sort of exploits on the idea of focusing on the lives of several young women and their trials in life (dealing with sexual identity, drug abuse, etc), but is outrageously weird as well. It follows the route of a lot of exploitation films of that time period, but has a plotline about an up and coming girl band.

In the spirit of David's post, a few more I liked: the hills have eyes any godzilla movie Orgazmo
I'm not really sure what the definition of B-movie is but I assume those qualify. I still haven't seen Grindhouse but it sounds awesome.

El Charro de las Calaveras (The skulls' "Cowboy")
...about a mexican "cowboy" who fights against "the human wolf", vampires and zombies raised from their graves by a witch...
I've never seen anything like it... at least in Mexican Cinema from the 60's!
This is the first of ten parts:

While on the topic of Mexican B Movies: Sci-fi lucha libre movies are a pretty amazing(ly bad) genre that's specific to Mexico. However, that's not to say that only Mexicans make cheesy wrestling movies: www.midnighteye.com/reviews/hummweap.shtmlOn a side note, since there's been Oscar rumors about "The Wrestler", I wonder what the reviewer has to say about: No filmmaker is going to waste time and money making a respectable multi-million dollar movie about sweaty men in tights pretending to hurt each other

I've tried but I just can't figure it out. I'm not that great with 80s films. The guy on the right (our right) looks so familiar. If I could get his name, then it would be easier to find the film. The one on our left looks like Rob Lowe but maybe not. Thanks flatop. Sorry but I don't know the actors name. The guy on the right looks familiar (from another 80s movie?). But thanks anyways

The one on the left is actually a girl (yup, a gender bender -- think 80s teen comedies)... The cast consisted of mostly B actors alright. I think that Sherilyn Fenn was the only cast member to achieve any sort of serious celebrity status later on.

Yes yes yes! Plot was something like.....girl journalist transfers to another school and poses for a boy to to an undercover story, or has to pose as a boy to get a scholarship, or something like that. Poses as a boy, some girls like him, s(he) likes some guy, boobs are revealed, everyone goes bananas and then the happy teen movie ending.
Now what was the name of that???
