I hope this is right place to post. Does anyone here have Dutch-Indonesian heritage other than me? There is currently an Indo Heritage Project aimed to document the live of Indo people after they were expelled from Indonesia in 1950-1962. This is done so later generation won't forget their cultural heritage. I recommend you to join Dutch-Indonesian group at facebook. It's really active community and you might find your family there

I'm half-Indonesian, but I don't have any Dutch. My grandma speaks Dutch, though.

i'm a quarter dutch... my oma is dutch, does that count?
i have this love-hate thing going on between me n the rest of the indo-dutch peeps. friends with most of 'em, dated some of 'em, but with those who continue acting such newbies to indo culture, exploiting their visits to indo (especially exploiting girls who r crazy bout caucasians), n then say indo is their home, if u're familiar with the prototype (or stereotype), i hate them...
so what's this dutch-indo community about?

missait's community started by an Indo in Holland, now it has more than 2,000 members! Brianunfortunately there is almost no "eurasian" club in jakarta, because eurasian is not considered unique ethnicity in indonesia. Also please visit this site: theindoproject.orgThe Indo Project is working to promote and increase awareness of Indo culture in the world and prevent death of indo culture.
