Any of you having trouble travelling? A friend of mine came to visit me for a few days in NYC and now he's stuck here because all flights in destination of Europe are canceled. www.foxnews.com/world/2010/04/19/volcanic-ash-cloud-hit-canadian-coast-monday/To make things worse the volcanic eruption responsible for the ash cloud could last for weeks and it was reported it causes respiratory health hazards.

I was affected by this... My husband travelled to Brazil for his job and I tagged along as I've never been to Brazil. We got stranded there for four or five days longer than planned. It took a day or two to even contact Air France and they could not get us a flight back to Europe until more than a week later! My in-laws had to book a different flight to get us back earlier because they had planned a surprise trip for us, my sis-in-law and her boyfriend! Then, once we finally got back to Europe safely, our return flight to France got cancelled because we were not in France to take the outbound flight. What a nightmare! We had to drive more than 1,100 km with my in-laws to get home (our car has a small boot so we can't fit suitcases in there).
