my dad's pretty cool though. has a thousand friends and is faithful to my mom. maybe's not the greatest looker, but he can kick most asses with sheer coolness, i swear. either that, or he'll kick everyone's ass with a very deadly fart. i'm sure you could appreciate that

...if you smile everytime you see a eurasian family with young kids I only smile if the father's not ugly and three times the age of the mother. Eight times out of ten he is. Whoops, did I just say that. Are you guys talking about me? So what if my white dad is old and ugly. At least he shower me with with money.. err..I mean love.

Before the thread took on the cliched note, some very good obervations there (from yujirob and jennibrook as I recall)
Observations like those ....underline to me that no monoracial/non-EA person (no matter how long they've lived another country/culture) will ever truly understand/relate to the EA experience

My parent's are separated by 10 months (does that make them sound like sibblings?). I find it a little embarrassing that they don't fit the stereotype

You know you're EA if you are paler than Christmas but tan golden brown in under a hour. I think I developed a permanent tan, I was so pale as a kid.... but now... not so much. MY TAN NEVER SEEMS TO FADE~~ >__<

If asked "Are you Asian?" Do you get asked this? Maybe full Asians get asked that but I find it strange to ask someone if they're obviously Asian looking "Are you Asian?" i wouldn't go up to a Prince Harry look-alike and ask "Are you white?"

^ I've never been asked "Are you Asian?" but am assuming so because I don't look particularly Asian, getting asked "Where are you from?" is more common (for me).

^ Yeah, never been asked that, either. Have been asked whether I'm Italian (fits in the wog category), but never "wog" ... do you live in a "woggy" suburb?
