Sorry I don't write this stuff! "A masseuse, Diana Wolozin, arrived to give Mr. Ledger a massage at about 2:45 p.m. At 3 p.m., after Mr. Ledger did not emerge from his bedroom, with the door closed, the masseuse called him on his cellphone but got no answer. She saw him laying in bed. " "laying in bed" Shouldn't it be "lying in bed"?!!...

Most of the people in the entertainment industry think it was an accident.
That's just so so sad.
The members of the PR firm that represented him have all threatened to boycott Entertainment Tonight because of their treatment of the story, including their purchase of a cell phone video of him at a party where someone was doing coke in the background. The video was pulled because Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johnanssen, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jake Gyllenhaal (and a number of high profile filmmakers) made personal calls to the studio telling them to f*** off and that if they aired it, ET would never get an interview with them again.
That's disgusting of ET. (But really touching on the actors' parts.) Says a lot about how well respected he was in the industry.

My favorite Heath Ledger movies are A Knight's Tale, 10 Things I Hate About You, and The Brothers Grimm. He is good at playing medieval classic roles. I have yet to watch The Order, his 2nd movie with Shannyn Sossamon. Looking forward to A Dark Knight and The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. It seemed like Ledger was a favorite of directors such as Brian Hegeland and Terry Gilliam that they'd casted him twice in their movies. What a loss of such fine talent.

So from what I understand, the coroner's report has ruled that it was an accidental overdose due to the simultaneous administration of numerous prescription drugs he was on.
The first thought to come to my mind upon hearing this was that inadequate communication between physician/pharmacist and patient about the use of such medicines may have been a factor in the ultimately fatal outcome.

^more likely he wasn't too concerned about it or too blase about it.
i'm surprised he was on barbituates. i thought they were practically outphased by now. it may have been part toxic build up as well. but he was taking two different types of sleeping pills and 2 different types of anti depressants and more than the recommended dose of each. the barbituates would have had a big part in the outcome though.
