Reason: Unfounded assumptions, no link between two screennames unless a moderator can prove it with their superpowers.
Conclusion: meanspirited drama.

They are two separate issues, but Animo himself said he only came here because of Manilena's posts and that he otherwise had no interest in coming to any Eurasian forum. So here's how it goes: if a forum is allowed to be spammed/flooded with something completely off-topic, but nonetheless interesting to some other group, you can expect people who share that interest to find and join the forum to discuss it. Additionally, the crazy spammer might make new identities to support himself, or even recruit other people to join the forum for that support. That's the connection between the two issues - Animo is an individual, of course, but he specifically stated that he had no interest to join an EA forum except to provide 'support' for Manilena. Why would she need 'support' if she were just making normal, topical posts to an interested community? Dude how old are you? That was just another way of saying "keep up the work" or just basically a conversation. Don't you twist my words buddy. I merely implied that I never would have looked for a Eurasian because I never considered myself as biracial. How about Latin Americans who have European physical traits but in reality they are a mixed of Native American/Indian descent? That is also my take on my identity but unlike most Eurasians I am content of knowing and growing up with both Western and Eastern traditions which composes my nations identity. A stereotype of Eurasian that I get is that they seem to feel attacked whenever someone questions their validity in terms of culture. They have a constant divide on where they belong. This is especially true to those whose parents belongs to the traditionally Asian (non-Western country or culture). I would fine it very dull to just keep the forum on one dimensional perspective. The forum that I had been a member since 2005 was based mostly on Skyscrapers and City buildings but it has evolved into a very profitable forum in the World Wide Net because it incorporation a lot of factors: introduced Travel sections, Photography sections, Heritage sections, and Urbanity sections. It was like this forum (Eurasian Nation) when it was made in 2002/2003. Not all members are architects or city planners but a combination of all interest. That I think should be the direction of all forums. To foster interest on a variety of subjects and help others to understand various cultures, identities, perspectives, etc. to those who have no idea about what is happening in another place. We are living in a globalized society. Why would most of you guys be born anyway if non-Asian part of your family where not introduced with each other? P.S. I only knew that you guys had a problem with Manileña. But I see no reason to attack my integrity based on 5 posts that I made, which were not even malicious to start.

Eh, Celtriya, while I'm in agreement on not banning, I think you're taking it a bit too far. Equating the idea that forums have themes and purposes with being meanspirited is a bit silly. Forums are not democracies. They are privately run message boards on the internet. Keeping on topic, or mostly trying to, and encouraging a certain direction for a place, has nothing to do with someone not wanting to be "nice". I mean, it has nothing to do with character whatsoever. Forums are not a platform to express brotherly love just for the sake it. Etc.. I'm rambling, but you get my drift, I guess. I said this with my football example. If I just hopped on a football forum and said "HAI GAIS!!! Here's a picture of my pony. My name is Randy. I don't really like football, but I want to tell you how my grandma makes cookies in the shape of footballs" then I would get chased out of there too. [edit] My name is not Randy, by the way. Thanks for the insight but I respectfully disagree. Generally, from my experience, ean is run as a democracy. People voice their concerns, and moderators and others respond to them. Do you notice the existence of this thread? I have equated linking the two screennames and dragging Animo into the picture when it's really Manilena others have problems with is unnecessary. If there's a problem with Manilena, then deal with Manilena without slandering Animo. If there's issue with Animo, then deal with it specifically on a case by case basis or PM him to ask for clarification. Appealing publicly to speak about new members as if they are worthless third-persons that should be discussed as if they were not in the room is a little uncalled for. Edit: If I have stepped on anyone's toes explaining myself also, it was not intentional. I sincerely hope we can move on from this. I've said my piece. Take care all.

My response to Animo is that with 5 posts and a few days of membership you are in no position to be dictating what is appropriate at THIS forum.
Bottom line, you said you had no interest in this forum until you saw and wanted to participate in Manilena's spamming off-topic posts.
It's great that your skyscraper forum has morphed into something else, and that the people there are happy with that change.
That doesn't mean that EAN has to change in that way.
Let me suggest that you and Manilena make a "Spanish Mestizos in the Philippines" thread on the skyscraper forum, since they are so open to change, and you enjoy the discussions there.

I feel like I am talking to an insecure kid here. I hope you have a good day but I wouldn't waste myself explaining to others who doesn't want to listen. Celtriya, thank you for the messages. I would take your advice now. ¡Vivid y dejad vivir!

Oh, terrific. Another witchhunt thread! The lynch mob is collecting their pitchforks and lighting the torches. My family knows a lot of half Europeans and Asians and their offspring's tends to be hotties! Manileña can you give a couple of books/coffee table books about Philippine art? Especially those with Fil-Hispanic theme. I don't really have an idea of what type but I would just like to immerse/learn myself in Philippine art. Gracias de antemano, Ánimo [/quote] There are 2 surefire ways to arouse the ire of the old EAN lynchmob: 1.) Make a couple trivial comments that suggest racial fetishism, which basically means stating that you find a lot of EAs attractive without being one yourself.....2.) posting droll stuff about EA culture that only a few chosen members, such as Jefe, Paddy, Celtriya, and Curlytop are permitted to post about in this forum. If you trip up over these unwritten rules, you'll end up banned as so many member were during the great EAN purges of 2006 and 2007. Is anyone concerned by the following? I just ignore their posts. Unless Im mistake, Proboards lacks the ignore-list feature, which I think is pretty handy. It would let me ignore all of those lame weirdos looking for people to post pictures of their clavicles, knees, refrigerator contents, medicine cabinets (oh, actually he wouldn't want us to know what sort of meds he's been skipping for his bipolar disorder, ignore this one). 1) There is some serious mestizo flooding going down on EAN. Kastila was banned for this however Manilena has clearly replaced him/her and stepped it up a notch. Speaking about banned members ist verboten! Fräulein Kyu-Ree isn't going to like this at all! 2) Manilena and the only ones propagating this crap are all filipino. They're not even EA. How do you know this? Are you stalking them or something? This is obviously what Rob, Scott, Serge, and halfbreed want, so I'll just spell it out: LOL!

Who are you and and what makes you think you know what I want? Honestly, I don't really give a crap about this issue because it doesn't really annoy/affect me in anyway.
I'm just here for the lols.

Great EAN purges of 2006 and 2007? Ooh, tell me more. I've never actually seen a real live banhammer around here. Don't listen to the random person who thinks they know what's going on. They are random and their opinions/input should never be taken seriously. Only a fool would do otherwise.

People don't need to be told who to listen to or dismiss. Stray is perfectly capable of coming to his own conclusions.
Scott sounds like he has a guilty conscience.
LOLzzzzzz!

Ok, I'll let him make up his mind.
Me, the person who people know or the random who pops up out of nowhere and then acts like they know what's going on.
You sound like a case of the the former member coming back with a different alias, which leads me to my next point: Who are you, random person? and why have you come back?

I'm here for the same reason you are, to discuss things on this forum. Nothing more. Nothing less.
BTW, I don't hold anything against you personally. In case you didn't realize it, i was being a little facetious. Is this another veiled lynching attempt? Let's not get personal alright?
Statement of the obvious: EAN is a public forum. Anyone with the inclination can dig around old threads, become informed, and express opinions. The distinction between old-timer and random loses its relevance. Ad-hominems are for pansies.
Over and outta here...
