Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive I once went to a karaoke place and they didn't have the song! How dare they not have this classic!? Abba - Dancing QueenAerosmith - Don't Wanna Miss a ThingSixpence None the Richer - Kiss MeLauren Hill - Killing me SoftlyAretha Franklin - RespectThe Supremes - Stop! In the Name of LoveMarvin Gaye - Ain't no Mountain High EnoughFrank Sinatra - Fly me to the MoonBen E. King - Stand by MeBilly Joel/Westlife - Uptown GirlAny Spice Girls or BSB song ^ I think any MoTown song would be fantastic really. Also add 'Living in America' by James Brown. No matter your vocal ability, you can only do it justice by performing it with the presence of the legend himself:

fun thread I saw Lea Salonga ages ages ago as Kim in Miss Saigon and loved her! first times I went to karaoke bars I absolutely hated it. Waaaaayyy too shy to get anything out in front of others and I still prefer the Korean karaokes (noraebang), where you just have a room for yourself and your friends. Makes the atmosphere just a little bit more cozy Favourites are: Tashanie - haru, haru Monica - for you I will Stevie Wonder - easy like Sunday morning Alicia Keys - If I ain't got you of AND Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes - time of my life ay, anything cheezy actually PS: how can you embed those youtube vids in here? "Stevie Wonder - easy like Sunday morning" Perhaps you meant "Easy" by the Commodores (with Lionel Richie singing)?

LaFace: You are not allowed to sing that song in public unless you are carrying around one of these: I have a few spares, I can let one go for $59.95 plus shipping.

Monica - for you I will Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes - time of my life ay, anything cheezy actually Thesa is definitely my music soul-sista! You gotta come to the g-meet karaoke session!! "For you I will" is awesome - only reason to watch Space Jam. In fact you just ruined one of the songs I was going to do for my next installment of "name that tune"! And "Time of my Life".... classic.... I remember when that movie came out as a kid (Dirty Dancing), i had to watch it countless times bcoz all my friend's sisters would hog the TV and put that thing on 24/7 repeat. Notice how every 4 years or so, Hollywood comes out with a really good dancing movie.... before Dirty Dancing, it was "Fame" and after it, "Lambada.... The forbidden dance".... ..... now it's definitely "Step up 1 2 3 4 - The River. glug glug glug"

^aaw, you my soul brother, too, rob Just went to look for Bootsy Collins' soul sista (first thing that came to my mind when I read your post) on Youtube, but couldn't find it I'd still be happy to hear your version of For you I will, so bring it on!! And Dirty Dancing is a classic. One of the few films that one never gets tired of watching, even after the 78th time!! Don't think I'll be able to make it to Bali/To this summer. These days my movements are limited to a radius of let's say 10km around our flat...

Oh lawd, that's a singstar favorite, which leads me to thinking of this, which an awkward Aussie friend of mine often puts on a disturbing yet enthralling performance of:
There's a video of him doing it floating around on the internet. Must find it.

Anything that is 90s cheeze.
ESPECIALLY Aqua songs (Cartoon Heroes comes to mind). ;D
"When You Say Nothing At All" has to be up there too, there was a time when I could do a mean impersonation of Ronan Keating.

Not my thing (sorry). Although a while ago I will admit to being 'Barbie' in the 'Barbie Girl' song just for a laugh. It was a bit of an odd experience and actually for once I enjoyed that song.
